So, I've finally got to 1,000,000 free XP. (Actually got it last night but was so tired didn't notice)

Now to decide what to do.

There is no guarantee that I will actually do what the poll says. I'm pretty sure there's only one right answer anyway. And I already know what @Paladinum and @Max_Battle will say.

with so many planned high tier premium ships, I'd suggest to wait and see

Out of the three FXp ships and one coal ship, i have only being playing Missouri regularly, well at least up to a few months back.

Sounds like you already have an answer.

Anyway, since Alaska and Azuma will stay for awhile you can just laze around till you find something fancy.

Azuma is easier to play than Alaska , but less impactful and more vulnerable to air strikes.

I am enjoying Alaska.

I voted Alaska but if I had 1mill FXP today I'd be waiting for Siegfried.

But Alaska is good - it plays exactly as it sounds - a cross between a US cruiser and a battleship.

i dont have azuma but i do know that it's a big and squishy target, and that if you stay at decent range and know how to position it's one of the best T9 HE spammers

alaska is fun to play as a brawler and does ok at range, it has a bit of everything but i feel that it's a bit lacking on places that im not sure how to explain.

 

imho if you just want to farm damage, then go play the azuma, if you want to teamplay and bully CAs, take alaska

 

if not both, wait for sieg

The upcoming Siegfriend Siegfried and Friesland are both Tier IX, so either could be a Free XP boat.

I have yet seen a T9 premium DD in this game that isn't a Steel ship (Black, Neutralshimmy)

That's true, but since it'll be part of the new Pan-Euro tree they might make it a bit more accessible and go for a FreeXP/Premium Shop release. Hopefully.

Alaska is a solid ship and a rare instance, considering majority of the premiums that came out recently have been pretty underwhelming.

The best thing about Alaska is that it rewards skilled play, i.e. positioning, angling, aiming, target priority etc.

The experience is quite similar to North Carolina, albeit better in every way...If you enjoyed NC, this will be a no brainer pick

1M FXP is too expensive now.

previously, it just costs 750K FXP for T9 premium ships.
