Stop trying to make players think they are missing some thing if they do not unlock the Russian cruiser LAZO all those that did it first can report it is a total waist of time it is the worse cruiser at level Vll in game and has no point, unless it is put at level V were cruisers that are this week and pointless should be. It has very very very very very very very very very very very week armor and so on maybe it should be a level four cruiser. It should not be being promoted as a primum cruiser at all most players that already unlocked it will tell you it's a waist of time. Maybe if they put it at level four or maybe five it would be ok but at level Vll  seven it should not even be in game..

Yeah i got it pretty quick and it is pretty much trash, not used it since the 1st week it was released. You will never use it ever.

well anyting not in tech tree is premium, does not mean they are good ships , its proven over and over again, the tokens is better spent on the perma camou that could be used on the Chapy ( or Vlad, Kiev , Ogny whichever one you fancy )

I'm glad I spent all of my 1500 tokens on crates. Not that I was super lucky(only got the t5 BB) but free resources is always good. Also considering I rarely play below T8, a ship like that would have turned into port queen pretty much instantly...

Actually I think its a nice ship, the spotter plane with its short reload works really well so you can keep your distance an not expose your thin armour. It plays like any of the other mid tier Russian cruisers, and while it isn't OP (is that what you were hoping for?) it is a decent ship

git gud, this thing is literally a chappa that they took the radar off of and gave special spotter planes,  if this thing can preform in T10 games it damn well can preform in T7

your issue is, you bought a high tier premium when you are very new to the game and got your ass kicked in, any other premium would be the same for you, my suggestion is to go and learn the game a bit more before playing this ship, not that it's even hard, you only need to stay at range and spam HE

Its a good ship and easy to use.  This will take on any ship within its tier range as long as you know how to play.  Its designed to fight at distance and the “Git gud” guide can’t be any simpler than that.

I have only used it in ops so far.

It feels like a Schhchhors or a Chappy - ie long range accurate shooty Russian Cruiser.

I like it, but I wasn't expecting silly things like armour and health becuz Russian.

Perhaps familiarity with the Russian cruiser line prepared me for it and maybe I just like free boats - and I was rapt to get another boat to train my Russian cruiser/Kron captain on.

I hope to gather enough now to buy permacamo for Vlad (which I only just got) but either way, I would have bought Lazo first.

I played beside a Lazo when a divved up with a supertester before it was released and he did fine, mind you, he was (is?) a good player.

Either way, I disagree with OP.

Its an ok ship at best for most people. If you know how to use its strengths and have a lot of battles under your sleeve and with a high point Captain you can do well. Comparing it to other same tier ships , it is very very ordinary and pretty weak. If you see the Lazo in game, your eyes will open and be like a mouth watering tasty target. Nothing special and just a collectors item.

no mention of the special spotter plane and the above avrage AA? with the spotter it can reach battle ship ranges

Like max, I tried it in ops. First time was a disaster. Overexpectations in armour and gun departments.

Last night tried in Narai again but this time taking into account my previous mistakes. Wiped the team and topped the standings. 

TLDR version: know your ship and how it performs. My previous misgivings about Myoko being a poor Narai ship were laid to rest by how consistently I can AP murder lancer in one salvo and her four sets of torps vs CV phoenix.

I got it quickly and then used it everyday to complete the mission to get a free Soviet Era Container (extra 300 coal everyday just for playing 1 match in it) but they have now stopped those missions . Anyway I think it is an ok ship, when you learn how best to use it. The reload time on the seaplane is absurdly quick (14.25 sec for normal and 9.5 sec for the premium consumable, where as most ships take somewhere between 1.5 min to 2+ min to do the same) so talk about Russian Bias, the ship's crew can recover, repair and refuel that seaplane in times that would rival a F1 pit crew.

Spotter plane is not something that everybody likes. While it is true that you can effectively smoke fire with it, many people, like me absolutely hate the overhead view. It is really difficult to properly aim with it. I would much rather prefer the option to have an alternate view mode that basically lets me use the default view(i.e. same perspective but with increased range)

I avoid using it on the Lazo since you just present yourself as a target to all BBs, its like saying here iam and watch everyone focus you. Your best results is when your overwhelming the enemy and in the 2nd line as a support ship just to burn down ships from range. The AA cant save you either way. Maybe i will take it out for a dip again and see how she goes. Hopefully with a good variety of ships to compensate each ships strengths and weaknesses.

Unless RNG curse you and destroy two torpedo tubes even when you are not ready to fire your torps to the enemy CVs. And the only hope for that, is AP shells.

Because that's what every USSR light cruisers are meant to be. You don't play them like BBs or first rate ship. You just barely knows that? or you'd think that Lazo isn't like any other USSR CL?

Lazo is hardly something you will see replace Atlanta in Random and the lack of DPM is something i'm not ready to trade. Also 152mm with Spotting planes is really disaster because the shells already hardly pen anything in original range but more range is just not everybody taste. The Armor is disaster and lacking any good for pushing. So basically this ship is design for camping and fly HE at them and hope they will burn to dead.

Contrary to the first poster I've personally found the Lazo to be a balanced ship, trading some DPM over its tiermate Shchors for better protection and range. The belt armor is nothing to write home about in thickness, but has decent coverage when angled. Granted, you still want to be making use of your range rather than trying to tank shell hits. The spotter plane though gimmicky has allowed me to practice and improve my spotter shooting. Comes with the usual excellent ballistics and turret handling. AA leaves something to be desired.

I'm currently trying to maintain an average damage in excess of 70000, and my current solo winrate exceeds 80% though the latter is definitely partly due to luck.

Overall, a comfortable damage farmer when used right. Generous for Wargaming to give it away free, but optional none the less, nowhere does it say you need to force yourself to work for it though if you're a decent to good player or at least familiar with the play-style, you'll probably appreciate it. Anyone who thinks it is bad probably hasn't played a Russian midtier cruiser before, she definitely holds her own.

He's stumbled upon the WG master plan for the rework of the RU CL line to compliment the Pobeda.

T10 Russian Cruiser 'Burnski' 25km range, 152mm guns with in built IFHE, 990m Velocity. 4.5 second reload. On the Moskva hull, with upgraded stalinium plating. And of course the main battery is dual puropose, so it will have AA that will put the filthy Amerikans to shame.

I am a Soviet Cruiser main near Moskva and I kept the Schors just for scenario fun. Today I got the Lazo and I sold the Schors cause Lazo is Schors and much more. If you are someone who didn't enjoy the Soviet cruiser line, Lazo isn't for you, period. But if you are someone like me who enjoyed the shit out of those lazer guns while praying your ass doesn't get shot out to hell, then you will love this ship. If you didn't like the ship, by all means hate it. But do not spread misinformation that the ship is outright bad. It is not. I love it just fine and it brings tons of fun to pvp and pve alike.

I think it's pretty great. I'm averaging about 80K damage in it so I'm not sure what your issue is.
