Interesting topic.

Few questions arise though. Missiles. Will we allow missiles in the game?
Helicopter spotter? May act diferrently vs fixed wing spotter aircraft as helicopters can hover.

If this is implemented, your very first encounter will be on the CV side, while playing T10 CV's in a T8 battle. (Unless WG makes an exclusive lock that only T9 and T10 or T10 only games will encounter T10 CV's)
Midway, Hakuryu. and Malta (not Audatious) at T10 would have the capability with their ,lets say, Hull C upgrade to allow first genertion jet fighters. These ships has the size and space to be upgraded to carry first generation fighters.
First generation fighters are fast, hard hitting and has extra thicc armor. Even if they have fewer squadrons, that will hurt the T8 a lot. Though CV rework is still ongoing and continious, T10 CV may have the first taste of T11 gameplay

If WG plans to bring back the Essex Class T9, then USA will have the earliest access to first generation fighters. Some essex class were converted (SCB conversions) to carry first generation fighters.

Though I'm very interested to see helicopter gameplay at modern CV's


Battleships
Japan "A-150" = 510mm (the most monsterous guns ever mounted on a BB)
Germany "H44" = 508mm (2nd only to Japan. but has 1/4 HE penetration insted of 1/6 will still hurt)
USA = 508mm (plans during WW1. You could say earliest 508mm in development.)
USA, UK, USSR = 457mm (probably 12 guns?)
France = 451mm (largest French gun I could research)
Italy = ???? (it is unknown if italy has anything larger than 406mm)


Missile Battleships?
USS Mississippi (New Mexico Class T6) would be the first BB with missiles equiped. Terrier Missilles. (Can be uptiered to T8, but her guns will be a bit puny vs T8 to T10 battles.)
USS Wisconsin and USS Hawaii (Iowa Class and Alaska Class respectively T9) would be the first high tier BB with missiles equiped. Terrier Missilles. (Can be uptiered to T10 or T11, but their guns will be a bit puny vs T11 battles.)
Kirov Class battlecruiser? "Kirov Reporting"
It is uncertain if the other nations have planned conversions Beyond T11 no other nation except USA may have battleships class (with Harpoon and Tomahawk). Other nation may have theoretical upgrades though (Exocet, P-700 "Granit").


Cruisers
Main guns = Auto loader
AA Defence, Radar and Sonar consumable (these things are available in the 50s)
Possible first encounter of missiles
Some US Cruisers like Cleveland Class T8 and Baltimore Class T8 have missles installed in them during the 50's. Earliest encounter with missile cruisers. (Can be uptiered to T10 or T11, but their guns and armor will be a puny vs T11 battles.)

Only 2 cruiser classes are (and still is opearational as of 2019) made in the 80's to 90's. The US Ticonderoga Class and the Russian Slava Class.


Destroyers
AA Defence, Radar and Sonar consumable (these things are available in the 50s)

Destroyers in the 80's and 90's will have difficulty slugging it out with gun vs gun as most destroyers are only equiped with 1 gun. Most Desroyers in the 80's and 90's rely on missile technology to destroy their opponent and guns are only treated as secondary armament. Missiles however will be useless in these battles as AMS systems are there to protect them. To enjoy destroyers made in the 80's and 90's gameplay, I would suggest to play them with torpedo only armament. The guns will be treated as secondary armament. (The recently ended space battle event "Torpedo Beat")


And lets not forget submarines.
Remeber Terror of the Deep operation during the holloween event? Submarine proof of concept. Which means there are works on implementing submarines. A T11 subs may or may not have AA missiles or cruise missiles. But then again Carriers are not helpless as they have ASW capability since WW2. BBs and US Cruisers are helpless against these terrors. While cruisers (except US cruisers) and destroyers have ASW capabilities. May it be depth charge or hedgehog.

These may be things to consider to T11 and possibly beyond ships. I'm quite interested to see if WG will plan to implement such ships in the game but a lot of things need to be considered. Either as proof of concept or a separate battle all in all.

Over all interesting topic. A lot of things to consider but interesting.

I would also love to see Armored Cruisers in early tier battle.

The mind boggles!

Potential for ideas is huge, even having a helicopter mode/upgrade to shield ships from incoming missiles, as did prince Andrew Falkland's war 1982.

I'd rather the game be moved back to 1900 - to get Tsushima style battles, maybe the current tier X could be Tier XII?
