I Posted these in the suggestions forum a while back, but they don't appear to be as popular as the general discussions so I'll put them here too:

 

Ocean Map

The Ocean map wasn't a very popular one due to the obvious lack of concealment, but what if you added in permanent spots of fog or rain squalls in place of islands? 

Obviously you could sail through them, but detection would be so low, you wouldn't see your opponent until you were right next to each other. Maybe you could even sail within 2km of your opponent and not even see each other? Kind of like an isolated cyclone- but with even closer engagement ranges.

That would be interesting- especially inside a capture point. It would also make for an interesting and more realistic map which didn't rely on islands to make it interesting. And your concealment stat wouldn't be affected unless you were inside the fog.

Furthermore, with fog- aircraft can't see into it, granting the ship inside temporary immunity from air attack. (Same mechanics as a smoke screen)

Again, it's likely this idea has been mentioned before, but I haven't seen it. Would anyone be interested in playing this? I know you're keen @Ordrazz

 

T10 Gameplay

This is probably a flawed idea or a pointless one, but let's put it up for discussion;

WG has stated (the obvious), that there are significantly more players using T10 ships these days then compared to 2 years ago. A lot of attention and experimentation goes into T10 in order to keep the experienced end game players interested and playing the game. 

There has also been a lot of discontent with high tier matchmaking (especially T8 & T9), unbalanced teams and players at T10 who arguably shouldn't be there due to potatoing around after grinding a single line as quickly as possible without the experience to match.

What if there was a new game mode which was exclusively for players who'd accumulated a certain number of battles in T10 ships? (Or some similar prerequisite)

In this game mode only the servers most experienced players would be playing.  There could be a couple of new maps exclusive to this mode for variety, higher rewards for doing well (steel maybe?), and levels of experimentation like legendary modules etc which could be tried that wouldn't affect all the T9's and T8's that are always on the receiving end of them.

This would potentially alleviate the pressure on the high tier matchmaking which see's T8 ships in T10 games a lot of the time due to a high T10 population, whilst providing the best players a more reliable means for a match that will test their skills, try new features in, and offer rewards that they may not otherwise have access to.

The first iteration of Arms Race was for T9 only. I wonder why there wasn't an Arms Race for other tiers.

This would work if T10 players don't want to beat T8 players into submission... Many of them are afraid of going against a T8 cruiser.

Seriously I think the Ocean map do not belong to T10, instead it should be put t T4 to T6 ... a good learning tool there it will be ....
