Suggestion: Clan Battle Scheduling

Currently the scheduling system is alright. It has it's issues, but it's not a bad system. However I think it can be improved, especially for those players who have difficulty attending Clan Battle scheduled times.

This stems from my own issues. I live in New Zealand and clan battles in Asia STARTS at 1am for me. Cross server matchmaking is useful, as this opens up other times. But it still limits my participation to 1 Clan battle period a week due to the weird days they have scheduled CB to be, and the 24 hour reset of cross server selections. This ultimately means I can only play on the weekends, and I have to choose which server I want to play on, that being either early as hell on Sunday morning 1am onwards, or on cross server time periods, which conflict with time. Stifling my desire to get amongst it and pew pew at boats.

This can be completely resolved using a system which allows you to enter ANY clan battle time period (you dont have to select, it just tells you that NA/EU/ASIA prime time CB has begun). The system simply allows you to participate in a maximum number of clan battles per week (whatever number wargaming thinks is fair. Personally I think 3 clan battle periods a week is a good number). After all particpations are conducted you are locked out of CB until the weekly reset (say prior to the Wednesday CB periods). Then another maximum participations is allocated and CB continues on each week like so.

This would allow people in difficult timezones to participate, allow those who work throughout the week to maximise their CB experience on say the weekends, and increase overall numbers in clan battles without the selection system in play (which I think we can all agree is a bit annoying with it's 24 hour limitation).

Simple and easy.

I like the idea of letting teams participate in any CB session that they can attend; up to a maximum number per "game week". Three might be a little too low - quite a few clans play the current maximum of four CB session per weekand that would be a step backwards for those clans. I actually like the idea of increasing the number to five.

The issue that is always raised to this type of suggestion - ensuring sufficient numbers for matchmaking - has never made sense to me; and with cross-server matchmaking now implemented it makes even less sense now

I don't think it's enough tbh. Yes, the flexibility would be great, but the only viable cross server option for the Australia/NZ region is NA. For people who work for a living, that means Saturday and Sunday mornings are your only option.

A far simpler solution would be to open up the clan wars window for the SEA region  two hours earlier, but preferably three, so the Kiwis get a fair shake.

Absolutely agree that the clan wars time slot / windows, however many there are, need to be wider or more flexible.

For the many clans that are very open and inclusive in their membership, this would stop the issue where focusing on 1 time slot eliminates a whole bunch of dedicated clan members, and hence WG customers, due to time zones and real-life commitments ☹️.

Wider or flexible clan war windows would allow clans to battle in different windows and thus allow everyone to participate ... which you would think would be a "good thing" for all.

As a minimum, its worth a decent trial 😀

I agree Bex. Add 2-3 hours to the start of the current clan battles time. The King of the Tasman tournament has shown that there is competitive depth in the AUS/NZ region and it'd be great for all our clans to be able to participate in regular clan battles.

Thanks for the comments.

Alot of good points and suggestions coming out of this. Lets hope Wargaming makes the most of them.
