First, preferences.xml can't change automatically.

The old version (32 bit) set is the same.

otherwise, when I edit using program. It's make the game crash in logining.

After deleted the old preferences.xml, it's automatical build the new one.

It's the 64 bit set. (my hardware has 32 GB ram, and 6GB GDDR5)

Second, when I change the resolution to 2560 x 1440, it's auto change my sound hardware set(use Nvidia GTX 1060 6GB).

My original set is 7.1 output sound. When I use tab key to back the desktop, the sound change to 2.0.(but the Dolby Pro Logic light at my audio amplifer).

After go to reset my sound to 7.1, the Dolby Pro Logic light is not on, and if I go to desktop again, the game reset my sound to 2.0 output and Dolby Pro Logic light light on again

And after all, hard to relogin the game if I out of game.

Same here. I can't log in since last night. It's been 10 hours already. Can confirm I can log in to Asia server tho'. 

I have reboot, checked and repaired... Still the same. SAD SUNDAY

You say it`s fixed just tried again can`t log in. It was fine the first day but i tried the next & no log in. Reinstalled game centre No luck tried WGcheck nothing wrong with files still can't log in. Pretty Sad for a big company to get it so wrong all the time

Minor Interface:

The "ship parameters" now (version 0.8.2, I know this is public test of 0.8.3, so making comments on 0.8.2 might get this through when 0.8.3 is released) cannot be accessed when in the "Module" part of the interface. I think that is not very convenient. I use the "Ship Parameters" quite a lot when I decide if I want to buy a module or an upgrade. I also use it when looking at ships in the tech tree that I dont own yet to make decision on whether to buy one ship or another.

I don't know if I have made this clear enough. Please let me know so I can elaborate more, if needed.

Sorry if I make double post. As now 0.8.3 is out, I don't know if it is relevant to post here or not. I want to make comment on the Module interface of 0.8.3:

In previous versions, when I select a ship and click on "Modules", all the different researches and next tech tree ship(s) are laid out in front of my eyes without having to scroll. Now with 0.8.3 every single ship I have to scroll to see all of the researches. It's not only annoying, it's also counter-intuitive. Researches and tech tree progression should be all laid out on 1 "page" without having to scroll for it so player can see the road map to plan. I don't see why now you make it scroll. It's not like there isn't enough room at the bottom?

If the goal is to accommodate players with low-resolution, then why don't you just scale the icons smaller for them? Players must hover the mouse (or click) on each research item to read description anyway. Most of the time the icons are self-descriptive. The mouse hover or click is only to read in details. Anyone who play this game, even new players, get used to the few research icons/options very quickly. I don't see any purpose/advantage in making the Modules research scroll-able.

Please bring back the old Module layout (non-scroll). If my descriptions are unclear, just let me know.
