WTF 3 CVs/side?

So I just played a game with 3 CVs per side. Is this a new thing?

If so, I'm done with the game. I'll keep an eye on things and see if it changes back, but for me is wrecks the experience in a very major way . Destroyed in my spawn area inside 3 minutes.

It's a shame, but I have heaps of other games to play. Hell if the rest of the community likes this who am I to argue. Just want to ensure this wasn't an aberration before I quit?

Where have you been , the patch notes i'm pretty sure already have mentioned the changes. Are you one of those guys who are too lazy to read ?

I mean come on , it's rare but it's been 2 patches already for god sake.

Second post ever , and it's a flaming stab , oh my i'm dying from laughing.

Ever since the CV rework hit the server , devs have already stated that they will allow 2 and 3 CV per side battle , and that's like 2 - 3 months back.

Why don''t you kindly and graciously read the changes before hit that play button. You can stab me all you want , but the facts didn't change that you don't do your homework before whining.

Okay , i'm the bad guy , now can the good guy kindly read the changes , get an OP weapon and clear the game please , i'm the final boss ( kind of btw , because i play CV ).

hahaha.. well said. Though I had hoped my post might prompt some discussion about how other players who are more experienced than me (only 1000 battles) are finding this? Is 3 carriers a big deal after all? As I said in my original post, who am I to argue if the community likes it, or doesn't care?  I'm just wondering what people think about it? I mean, if 10 people get on and say "nah you're nuts nevernude you just need play better' then at least I know.

3 carriers pretty much mean you stay as a pack. No yolo , no moving alone because you are dead otherwise. Biggest stack win.

CV are not fond of charging into a group of 3 4 ships unless he want you dead no matter what. Done right and CV will waste too much time to actually do anything beneficial to his team.

Or if you hate planes that much , invest in AA skills and farm them instead. Some dd are suprisingly powerful against planes thanks to low concealment and cruiser level AA.

If you play dd with no AA , turn it off. It will make CV alot harder to attack you since he cant get full accuracy from aiming.

Yeah good advice, turning off AA in my DDs was one of the first things I learned . In the case of the 3 carriers I was in a Russian cruiser, spawned wide and virtually alone, made a break for the pack but still lost 70% of my HP before I got there.  At which point they smelled blood in the water and it was over.

I’v been playing since the rework, and while seeing 4 CVs per game wasn’t unusual, I’ve never seen more than two per side. And while I admit my memory may be faulty, I don’t recall seeing anywhere which says that the CV limit per side is greater than two.

Can you provide link where it says that?

Have never seen something like that. 2CVs/team is common though.

You may have played during low player hours. 90% MM will screw you over.

It was in one of the very first articles WG posted on the news portal about 0.8.0. The limit is 3 CVs per side.

That said though, 3 CVs per side are extremely rare. I don't think I have seen such a match except once or twice at low tier.

You are probably playing T5 or below because T6+ matches rarely have more than 2 per side...

Worth mentioning that WG is working on a solution to reintroduce the 1 CV per side cap for T10 matches. So it will be very rare to see more than 1 CV per side in T8-10 matches let alone 3

I consistently see 4 cv in t7 games

Usually a T6 and a T8

Yea 2 per side is the norm here in WoCV.

You must remember that while it is OK for a CV player to complain, whine and cry about pretty much anything really, its not OK to talk against CV's, mention anything CV related in a negative fashion or have an opinion that does not conform to what a CV player would like to see, as seen above from the CV player, and all the other many, many, forum posts where CV players try to explain this anyone who dares to say otherwise. See the response to this post for proof :)

That said if WG manage to limit CV's to 1 per match T8 and above, well step 1 is all I can say :) 

That all said I still say CV's are the way ahead for all of us and the best class to play, I'd play one but can't work out the controls, I'm just a dumb surface ship player h'yuk :)

I call for a separate game mode for CV's to operate in as random is not worthy of them :) They could call it Grief mode or some such :) Fill it with BOTS, no waiting for any CV players EVER AGAIN, its a win, win /shrug hehe. 

PLUS if there was a separate mode everyone could go play against CV's that wants to, and those that don't, don't. Same as peeps who never play random just co-op stuff, people COULD have a choice. Whose with me? :)

Hi, I'm on the fly so only have a sec, you're probably talking to one of the others but in case you were commenting re the OP,  I was in a Tier 6 Soviet cruiser. Damned if I can remember what everyone else was in 🙂

can they do it for all tiers, not just tier 10. Playing last night felt like pulling finger nails with 3 CV's a side
