As we all know, Destroyers and Cruisers are meant to tank damage.

They aren't meant to hide in smoke or use islands for cover.

In fact, Destroyers and Cruisers have the best armour and hit points in the game.

Which means this stage makes perfect sense.

To pass it, you need to expose yourself to enemy fire and hope to get shot at lots.

Quite logical.

Yeah, these missions are really annoying. Like the ‘shoot 30 planes’ so of course, since everyone is in cruisers and DDs, there are no CVs.

I did start a thread for complaints about this mission, But I think I was the only one with any complaints. Most other people didn’t care.

I object to that generalification! :P

I think the rest of us commenting in there completely supports you in our own little cynical way. As soon as I saw that mission, I said bleh. Basically its wg trying to force people to play in a different manner for tiny trinkets. Instead of doing that, why don't they focus their efforts on say, forcing ships with girnormous hp and armour to actually tank. Hmm?

Ok, people did care. People did agree with me. What people did not care about was the actual missions.

shoot down 30 planes try 7 times to finally got a match with double cv..done with atlanta

2nd 4mil potential damage, did it in helena but sail in the open jiggling like madman 

3rd is easy just do damage

so much logic and this is only the first part

They are so annoying that I gave up caring about them.

I don't even look at them. If they get completed, so be it. If they don't, too bad.

As they say in the classics; I'm driven by apathy.

Well I have long since stopped caring about them.

Oh and btw, if you are a purely Coop player, you can just forget about getting Exeter for free.

Because part 4-1 is this:

Scenarios are not counted either, so if you are purely PvE player, you are pretty much :etc_swear:ed.

I don't mind hard requirements, (that's fun actually), but can you have the requirements match the ship type?

Tanking for BBs, encourage them to push.....I don't like being the only one who does that. (For all the other pushing bbs, why are you only on the other side?)

Spotting for CL/DD/CV. 

Fires/Floods for same

Instant Kills for BB/CA

So on.

Whoever writes these, at the very least, run them by someone who actually plays the game, (well).

I thought I was the only one.

Playing Atlanta all the time, at least 20 battles since Exe mission start and yet to have a double CV battle.

Hell even a single CV battle is rare, odd for a well placed tier 7 that could see both tier 6 or tier 8 CV.

And in the 3 battles I have had CV, they stay well clear of my AA ships.

Currently still on first stage of mission 1, with 5 planes shot down.....

I just got a tier 8 RN cruiser, so I guess I'll give that a go. But those tier 10 planes are far tougher, and so many per squadron, they definately gonna attack.

I think they WG enjoy making requirements like these, then see what happens. They’re either conducting an experiment, trying to teach us how to be more versatile in ships, or are just sadistic and like watching us fail.

The last time WG let players write the mission requirements, it didn't turn out so well either. I remember back in WoT there was a time where WG allegedly let unicum players "adjust" the mission difficulty, and though they were doable, they were so hard that people began rigging games just to finish them.

I'm not justifying that these missions stay as they are though. As people here already said, it's as if they're written/made by someone who doesn't play the game.
