Reviving Bastion: What to Balance and What to do/Renaming.

Lets think of it as a new Battle Mode, a PvP PvE Hybrid one, and call it "Fortress Battles", Example is like Arms Race, which you can have buffs, but in the mode you can capture an Area with fortresses and a delay time when its captured by allies or enemies, the Surveillance will act like radar (but needs a shorter range about 10km for this)

1.With less cap areas, players need to think and strategize what's going on, the fortress will attack within its capping area, which can defend itself against enemies capping it, Airfields on a key area will help too, but this will be automated by bots. the AI Planes (Allied or Enemy or Neutral) will defend the Airfield/Aerodrome against Allies or enemies. each of them will start a Torpedo run or a bombing run on both of them, you can shot down neutral planes for example, and capturing airfield or aerodrome will automatically deploy a series of fighters and bombers. There will be Repairs on specified key Areas on the map, in order to rescue Heavily damaged ships or critical damaged ones

Example is Operation Frontier: where one area is captured a delay will appear and deploy its most of its defenses and launches aircraft:

Another Example is from Killer Whale: you can Disable or destroy defenses and shoot down aircraft, and you will capture a key area and it'll took a delay before it gets armed and ready to deploy its defenses.

Unlike Arms Race, Bastion lacks a bit of an Air defense, for example, if you captured an Area with an Airfield, the Airfield itself will be armed with defenses and aircraft, similar to the CV Rework AI, then the Radio towers will locate an enemy for a brief time, In this mode, Respawning should be possible, but at the cost of Credits, Each time you sunk you get a respawn in x seconds and spawning in the previous area, the Scoring is same on Domination mode, Enemies and Allies alike have to score 1000 (i still suggest to the new mode into 2000) with 2 CVs Per team, both enemy and ally, each of them will capture an area in order to strengthen defenses.

Radars give much Information about ships, but with the CV Rework being made, this has to returned albeit needs a reduced radar range and duration.

Like newport, some Fortress bunkers will have a slight delay after being captured, and will remain online, Enemies can knock out the base or destroy them with each shell and recapturing it as their own defense.

 

 

 

 

Each Fortresses have AA and similar to those ships in 0.8.0.2, the more flaks appear on map, the CV Player must avoid all those red flaks appearing on the map/

I would rather gouge my carotid artery out with a rusty butter knife than play bastion again.  Absolutely one of the worst game mode ever created

Capture a bastion point to be able to heal. Heal points near the centre of the map; otherwise bbs will just be sniping at range. Heal only works if point is uncontested.

They're not even done with CVs and this one here wants Bastion.

I think WG employed people like this last year and hence the game has ended up like this.
