So the 8 - 10 have Radar in the same slot as Catapult Fighter.

Reload times are sub-standard for tier and spicy 1.70 sigma... Balancing factors? (They will probably buff them later on)

Radar that can only detect BBs and CVs. Kinda useless if you ask me. You can read about the upcoming Russian BB line here:

Tier 3 - 7:

https://medium.com/@devblogwows/low-tier-ussr-bb-7d13efcf866e?fbclid=IwAR1M3T8-oU1BNai13kXGoP9IZQmvEYzbbS383RM7ZCIK_9deKVJnD1KbmTw

Tier 8 - 10, and the Premium - Lenin (all of these have radar):

https://medium.com/@devblogwows/high-tier-ussr-bb-9e599ee4f4b3?fbclid=IwAR1aWFt9cWNB60qYN7bl_jR4oFP_tQnw-aGANWI7KkZq-m1jjfPq12H9u9g

Tier 8, 9 and 10 have more HP than German counterparts. BIAS DETECTED!!!

AGAIN, where are the stat posts for the RN CVs??? They were announced EARLIER, right???

UPDATE 1: Surveillance Radar. Interface improvement. Flooding.

Flooding has been changed (mostly nerfed).

Sell your German and RN DDs now!!!

UPDATE 2: Russian BBs confirmed to have limited charges of Damage Control Party. Literally cyka bylat Rush B and die in the first 10 mins -OR- snipe from max range the whole match.

For a BB/CV exclusive radar to be even remotely useful it will need to have an absurdly long range.

EDIT: Nevermind, apparently it's 15km's.

Sigma never tells the whole story. A higher sigma value simply means that more shells will impact closer to the point of aim.

Despite 1.7 sigma not being great, if these RU BB have ok horizontal dispersion and excellent vertical dispersion values like Nikolai, they will be very good. Nikolai's shells tend to spread out left and right of point of aim (ie along the waterline) but not spread out high or low of the point of aim too much.

At this point, more ships in the game is just more homework learning stats and counters.

Gimmick radar is a neat idea though. Very very situational, but interesting nonetheless.

I remember the initial stats of Giulio Cesare. 1.5 sigma with cruiser's tight-@ss dispersion. That caused an outrage in Dev Blog.

When sigma is high enough, dispersion wouldn't matter. When dispersion is low enough, sigma wouldn't matter.

Watch for heavy incoming russian bias buffs on this like all the other russian lines.

I wonder if they think we are all retarded and that we dont notice how ridiculously biased they are towards their russian ships?

If these ships are't OP when released they will buff them until they are, don't worry lol

The weird thing is, people say Russian ships are OP but they aren't popular. Khaba is probably the least popular T10 Russian ship. Moskva is few and far between.

Current stats of the BBs, however, say that they can be decently tanky (?) while having more or less unreliable main guns.

Other than Nikolai, Gremny, Kutuzov and Stalingrad, all of which are unattainable to the vast majority of the playerbase, could you name any Russian ships, tech tree or premium that is stronger than its counterparts ? Of any type or tier.

The argument -could- be made for Kronstahd to be the best T9 CA but:

1) its not a CA

2) its pretty frustrating to play
3) not many people think its OP due to its many weaknesses.

Russian ships are outperformed by their contemporaries in pretty much every tier and type.

So they want to buff the nominal Radar, and yet nerf DD's one capability to deal damage , hey why not nerf Fire .. its about time they deal with HE spamming .. I think the flooding change is on the wrong course .. the game keep buffing CA and BB and simply d not had enough buffing to DD especially torpedo boat and yet keep adding things like even longer duration and longer reach radar .. so that basically is telling DD player to not to play at all cause the gameplay is simply broken by all these

Not saying you're wrong but it's an awkward comparison to make. On the one hand you have a tech tree ship that everyone has access to with varying abilities and on the other you have a premium ship that, for the most part, is only in the hands of seasoned players & the occasional wallet warrior.

Russian BB's will be more accurate at shorter ranges, and less accurate at longer ranges than other BB's.

Apparently they have an all new dispersion model: Range x 12.5 + 15m.  This means that compared to RN/US BB's they will be more accurate under 18km, and less accurate above that.  Compared to IJN BB's, that number is 13km.  They will be significantly more accurate at very short ranges.  They are quite short ranged ships anyway (T10 range is 20.7km, T8 19.0km).  Note that they have ultra-high pen and fairly high velocity.  They are likely to have high vertical dispersion given they have high velocity (vertical dispersion is a function of velocity, horizontal dispersion, shell weight and drag).

As a comparison of accuracy, BB horizontal dispersion will be as follows for various ranges:

New RU RN/US/old RU KM/MN IJN
5km 78 110 115 120
10km 140 160 164 156
15km 203 210 213 192
20km 265 260 262 228

Obviously they tend to have below average sigma, so that will effect their accuracy negatively, but at short ranges the advantage is so pronounced that they will still be by far the most accurate BB's at those ranges.

Thanks for the dispersion info and the formula. Formula should be exponential though based on half max base range so that at max range it is utterly shotgun. Penalty for being a sniper.

Incorrect, thats a matter easily verified.

Krons isnt even in the top 25 ships in the server by win rate.

And you haven't answered my question.

It was, it had a 57% win rate that put it first among all T6-10 available to all ships.  It's plummeted by 2% to put it at 7th in that criteria though in the last month.

Grozovoi, Leningrad and Tashkent are all absolutely superb ships that are the best at their tier/class or close to it, if you're looking for quality Russian ships.

Te funny part is that Tashkent is an even better torpedo boat than the same Tier Udaloy and its not even suppose to be the torpedo boat, there are some weird progression and ship spec in and among Soviet ships

I believe that this is a better support example as it compares it to its peers in the same category. Now if you disregard the Alaska...

If you compare it to same tier, it is the first cruiser after 3 destroyers.

I leave this for you all to have fun with.

PS. The top 25 best win rates are populated by premium ships. Go figure.

easy to figure... most are either coal, steel, special event prizes or aren't available any more.

Therefore only experienced/ long term players have them and us newbies haven't got our mits on them to screw up the WR :Smile_hiding:

I play all 3 of those quite a lot these days, they're among my favourite ships. My question was are they really the best in their tier and type ? the answer is no, not definitively at least.

Russian ships don't really show much evidence of bias these days.
