Ingame voice overs

Is it only me that would like to see more realistic, improved ingame voice overs?

The game can provide some realism in a lot of ways, however the current voice overs of "Enemy severly damaged" "We are holed below the waterline" "Torpedos to port Sir" while informative and good, could all be done much better.

"Sir this is Ensign Brown from the Engine room Sir. That last hit has taken three of our boilers out and we can only make 5 knots Sir" or....

"Lookout to Bridge. 4 Torpedos doing approx 64 knots on the Port Bow Sir" or.....

"Fire Control to Bridge. Last salvo 200m short" or....

on spotting the enemy for the first time (spotted flag) klaxon siren sounds for 1-3 seconds. "All hands on deck, battle stations, battle stations, enemy ---------- class cruiser spotted 20 kms to the north west"..

Now that in my opinion would not be that hard to implement but would go a long way to making the game a lot more immersive.

I would love to hear your thoughts, especially Wargammings if they read this.

You never had Seagal then as a US captain? If you were looking for the least interested voice actor who provided the least immersion and enthusiasm, Seagal was your man! :Smile_teethhappy:

"Yeah, so, we are, uhm, on fire. I'm going back to bed. Had a big meal. Good luck with that fire."

I am very looking forward to Captain Jingles. He may not be that realistic, but he will be very enthusiastic and entertaining.

I use one of the ARP voiceovers. I like it. Nothing too bad about being a bit weeb in the game, as I'm the only one who hears it anyway.

However, don't you think lines like

are too long and can potentially hamper more important sound effects and announcements? That's my issue with the ARP voiceovers as well. Their lines are too long and quite distracting.

I agree, having them too long is distracting and not getting to the point.

I do however agree that they could be improved somewhat. I personally use the national option for the voice overs, so I get the language of the nation that the ship belongs to. I find that very immersive and I think it's a great feature. The UI makes it very obvious when I'm on fire, flooding, engine damage etc... so it doesn't matter that I don't speak that particular language.

I have many ARP girls.

Sometimes I enjoy Japanese females shrieking at me in game with their mysterious, exotic and shrill voices.

But I am a wee bit odd.

*XO looks up from Japanese to English translation book*

"Sorry, Captain, not a clue. But I'm guessing she is saying something about all those white trails in the water coming towards us..."

I have my voice overs in German, so it sounds better..

& no american accent....

It would be alright if we had an Australian voice over.... Pity we can't ask Steve Irwin to do one, but there's plenty of other Queenslanders with the Queensland accent........

Why not changing the pitch into female voice cover for every nations? WG already did this for Japanese. Now I'm just hoping that there are a female version of US voice covers. Just got this idea from Mobile Legends tho.

I like the concept of female voice over. ARP and Azur lane voice over are good, but they still too long. Dasha voice in russian ships are most welcomed for me so far. Sadly she speak russian for other nation, so I only had commander Dasha for russian ships (for the authenticity reason). Maybe sometimes there will be an option of female version for each national voice over.
