Why World of Warships is better than "Real Life"

So I've been All Day Gaming for a while.

Most of brain: This is fine

Some of brain: We should get out for a change

Ok, ok. So there's a Christmas lights thing on in Roma Street Parklands and a Festive lights display on the Town Hall that might be cool. I mean it's not FIREWORKS but it's still flashing coloured lights so could be pretty.

Quick check of movies on in city reveals a "oh I might go see it" movie is Movie of the Week so is eight bucks.

Ok, ok, some of brain, you win, let's go out.

Train to city, about $3 - train is new and uncomfortable, seats have barely any padding, interior lights are too bright to see outside properly and it is uncomfortable journey.

Roma Street Parklands is packed with people and prams and too many humans. My fault for going on a Saturday evening I guess. Not going to fit in a feed and get to movie in time. Abandon human packed environment and miss pretty lights.

Maccas in the Myer Centre is closed, get Hungry Jacks instead, about $13 - food is bland and uncooked. My own fault I guess. See two butt ugly obese people getting Hungry Jacks. How come if you are too drunk you can't be served alcohol but you can be two mouthfuls away from a coronary and still be given fast food. They are so fat... and happy... look at how they look at each other - they are in love despite their faces... they have burgers and each other... all I have is lonely and bland. Bad meal time.

I get to cinema on time, but book my ticket online anyway to get the extra reward points towards a free movie. Online booking costs $1.50 so $9.50all up. See two gorgeous people. I hate them. They are happy and laughing as they come out while I'm waiting for my cinema to open. They are beautiful and have each other and have obviously just enjoyed what they just saw - unlike what I was about to experience, loneliness and bad movie.

Go in to cinema. 14 hours of ads before movie. Didn't know at time but ads were better than movie.

Overlord - don't bother.

Bad... really really bad.

Bus trip home. About $3. Raining as I get off bus and walk home.

All up that was more than $20 bucks in real life.

In World of Warships that would have got me at least 8 days premium time and 2000 doubloons. At least. More probably.

Doubloons goes towards new ships that are neither fat nor beautiful and don't pi$$ me off for simply existing and being in my line of sight.

Premium time means a win is about 10K xp and even a reasonable performance is 5K for a loss - for 8 days.

Welp, back to All Day Gaming.

Lesson learned.

I will never leave my little flat again.

Well, today I satisfied my need to go out and do things for a few weeks.

Saw Melbourne Sympony Orchesta performing Empire Strikes Back in Concert.

Was totally awesome. I will be humming Imperial March everytime I take my Yamato out for a week.

I have been out to work 5 days per week so decide to stay at home today..... doing my spreadsheet and have a check at the books with numbers.

Going out and get burned by sunlight with DE and IFHE is my idea of hell.

with a bit of rest, I was surprised how fast my day had consumed and gone.

 

Did I missed something about warships?? I do that 5 nights a week alongside with it's girl imitation so I am taking a break now.

@Max_Battle, yes, I follow the same logic.

Burger is overrated, and cost roughly 3$. You do not need to eat burgers since you can just eat baked potatoes or dry buns. Just buy those premium accounts 😄

I have to work outside......Sydney has been hot and ridiculously humid, interspersed by massive, torrential rain, before going back to hot and humid.....

Indoors, playing ships sounds so much more fun.

If I want a movie, I have netflix or bittorrent.

Nor will it pester me to take out all my empty drink containers.

And botes don't care that I smoke too much.

Best of all, I don't have to go to warships' in-laws house for Christmas lunch.

Just curious , why don't you buy raw meat and smoke them yourself ? Could save up a bunch of money instead of going out for a dumb low IQ burger.

Australia climate should be more than easy to smoke stufffs.

Fair enough. I'll take your sage advice and spend that time more productively with WOWS (or AC Odyssey)  instead. Christmas pressies nah, I'll worry about them another time.

Many Australians have lots of space and a backyard with room for a smoking shed.

I have actually cooked eggs and some meat on my roof when it was 43 degrees here. Just to see if I could. I was bored, it was before I started playing WOWS. 

Even though it cooked pretty good I didn't eat it. Possums and birds use my tin roof as a toilet. Mmmmm tangy burgers
