i was just wondering what other well known warships you would like to see in the game as premium ships?

with the latest announcement we know they are looking at putting the Bismarck into the game as a premium ship.

The Hood? The Yamato? The Admiral Graf Spree? The Enterprise?

The Mikasa as a tier 2 or something. And HMS Dreadnought if it's not already on the main tech tree.

Honestly though, most of the well-known ship classes are already covered. It's more of individual ship names within the classes...

In all honesty, I'd prefer not to see any of the well-known ships as premium. When tanks are made as a premium, they usually have some glaring flaw. Granted, in most cases, you can work with that flaw and overcome it by using the tank differently, etc and so on, but I would be disappointed if say they made the USS Kidd a premium and it didn't perform up to the standards of a Farragut class destroyer. I'd like to have a specific named ship, but with all it's normal attributes for its class.

How they work it will be interesting to see once they introduce them.

I would like them as at least as good as their class but possible with bonuses to accuracy or a bit faster/tougher.

That's depends though..... Remember Pz. II J? Pulled out fast after release because of being OP.

So instead of having a advantageous premium ship, they revert it back to like... the stock fitting of Cruiser or something a bit lower, so.... you'll depend on tactics to get better use.

The main thing about having premium, you'll get more credit bonus. At the cost of not being powerful, use tactics to its advantage.

Quite true

Since the most thinkable OP premium ship is Kitakami

and they nerf torpedoes range so it can be took down less than 15 km away

(Real long lance could go 40 km in 38 knot)

the problem here is they didn't put any torpedoes limit yet

I'm not sure why people just look at KTKM's torpedo armament and go "THAT'S OP".

We're talking a Kuma-class light cruiser with light cruiser visibility, light cruiser maneuverability that's nowhere close to the sort of destroyer mobility that makes torpedo-spam a problem, cruiser citadel, no smokescreen, pretty worthless main gun armament and all the freaking torps just sitting there waiting for a salvo of HE shells from anything in the game to set them off. Oh, and given a tier where she'd be seeing the likes of Myoko, MogamiIbuki, Cleveland, Pensacola, New Orleans, Baltimore, all of which could probably kill her in a single salvo.

None, please, if possible. Well-known ships should not be premiums, they should be accessible by any player willing to put the effort into getting it, and not just those willing to pay for it. If anything, paper ships and boring unpopular ships should be premiums.

What if the StuG III, T-34, Tiger, Panther, M4 Sherman and Churchill I were all premium tanks in WoT, and you could only grind paper tanks within the tech tree? If that was the case then WoT would be completely boring, and there would be no incentive for players to actually play the game. People want to grind to famous historical tanks without being forced to buy them with real money, people have emotional attachments to famous tanks, and not boring napkin drawings like the VK3001 (or anything "VK___" or "Object ___").

The fact that the Type 59 is an unsold premium, instead of being a tier 9 tank within the tech tree in place of the WZ-120, still annoys me to this very day, since the Type 59 is the most well-known Chinese tank in history. Yes, the two tanks are exactly the same thing with different modules, but the name "Type 59" is what's significant - who on earth cares about a boring name like WZ-120? Before WoT, has anyone even heard about the WZ-120? Exactly.

Kitakami is a joke, let us leave it at that.

You could actually, especially if there were two ships in the same class. Example, the Yamato and the Musashi (they have their differences).

OP? More like trade off for being specialized torpedo cruiser, at the cost of lesser guns (to follow historical) & lesser torpedo range (to follow the WG's concept/rule of premium and/or game balance).

Player's wouldn't call it OP if they noticed Kitakami's weakness and counter it. And of course, they better stop joining & playing "catch the torpedo" game. >____>

The only OP in any game are the gaming community itself. (especially the players with less than 50ms ping or who clicks faster)

She's  like an auto loader but really easy to hit. 2 minutes loading the torps.... gets crit so often... Torps with bad range for the tier. That being said, it's pretty fun launching 20 torps at a time.

A kuma class light cruiser in a tier 8 game where the regular Kuma gets blown up almost always in one shot in its OWN tier at tier 4

doesn't take long for one to figure out that she's a ship that is just not worth using, ever.

Re-read the Real Long lance Section

That's why we have Something that called "Glass Cannon"

In short: they can dish it out, but they can't take it. The Glass Cannon is characterized by insane attack power coupled with pathetic defensive ability.

Yukikaze for Jp and that white-haired-loli from the 6th-loli-fleet on KanColle, for the Ruskies!

For the US, the fiercest off all US DDs, USS Johnston (DD-557) or USS Hoel (DD-533), and USS Samuel B. Roberts (DE-413).

If Wargaming really wanted to stir the hornet's nest and make heads roll, they could make Yukikaze a Chinese premium ship.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ROCS_Tan_Yang

After all, they have to pander to the huge Chinese fanbase somehow, and what better way to milk plenty of cash from them by giving Yukikaze to them? The Chinese World of Tanks server is very profitable for KongZhong (Wargaming's associate in China) since Chinese players have a habit of spending money on virtual items in MMOs. I'm not sure if things have changed, but back in 2013, the largest WoT servers by playerbase were, in order: Russia, China, EU, North America, Asia.

From a financial standpoint, making Yukikaze a Japanese premium would be a lost opportunity, since Chinese players spend more money on WoT than Japanese players, and the same trend can be extended to WoWS if WG pulls it off properly.

So, it's possible to see Tirpitz even when Bismarck's a prem in shop?

She is OP in one game, Navyfield. You have not met the Torpedo Wall™.

Well, current rumors say Bismarck is getting premium, but it might be her sister ship.

Not a rumour, but a direct statement from Vladimir Gremitskiy, head of the art development team, on the official WoWS NA website.

They're intended to mask the punchline of a sentence. These forums don't support mid-sentence spoiler tags. It has nothing to do with attempting to hide rule-breaking.

On a significant majority of internet forums worldwide, they're used to some degree when forming jokes or presenting facts as shock value. Users read the hidden text by dragging over with the mouse cursor.

This form of storytelling was present for a long time on early BBS boards which arose after the predominantly Usenet/IRC era, but was somewhat popularised by the Something Awful forums in the early 2000s. Posters would hook up the reader with a narrative, before dropping the punchline in blacked-out text, example:

Why did the chicken cross the road? To get to the other side.

Pz II J was never in the ingame store. It has allways been a Retail Box tank only, and the retail box edition has only been sold in the RU server area. It is still available there.

Spoiler tags work fine.

Not our fault that you havent realized how to apply them with the supplied controls in the editior.

The second last control strip of icons. Use the one that looks like a pad of paper where the top paper is lifted to reveal the written text on the paper under it.
