I apologise for my inability to provide some pictures. I have not a clue regarding capturing screenshots, inserting animated meme or attaching video replay (Which I don't know how to enable anyway, lol)

To set the scene -

The map is Archipelago. The game type is Domination. 75% are Tier 5 ships. The remainder are Tier 4. I am in a Murmansk and in a division with a Jianwei.

There is absolutely nothing of note that happens in this battle.

Just after 10 minutes have elapsed the Following Message appears XYZPLAYER EMERALD (Insert Flood Symbol Here) XYZPLAYER EMERALD.

Now Mr/Ms XYZPLAYER had to this point played quite well however He/She had been caught out of position a couple times and so was on about 20% health.

My question is - What special manoeuvre, skill  or ability was required for XYZPLAYER to sink themselves?

Were they pink?

If you have an Nvidia card of sufficient quality, you can use the native software from their site that enables hotkeys to take vids and screenshots in game.

No. The Emerald was not pink. Full disclosure - I was pink through over exuberance and plain idiocy on my part. I torpedoed a friendly DD in a previous T10 random game. Fortunately I was in a RN DD and firing the torpedoes singly.

Thanks Max. I do have a Nvidia card, I will look into it.

Only way that a non cv class can do this is by reflected team damage. And usually it happens with ramming. He might not be pink at the beginning, but I'm pretty sure he was pink at the end. Also, you cannot see if enemy player is pink or not until you hover your mouse over his name in team formation list.

is it possible for a player to achieve a potential pink status in a previous game that has not finished then jump in current game and become pink from that during it when the previous game finishes ?

Careful.

I know a guy who messed with overlapping realities.

He was quite a nice person until...

"The Incident"...

I saw the same thing yesterday. I think one player torped another, the first torp gets him the TK penalty then the damage from the following torps is taken from the torper ( not the torpee ). If there is enough torps , the torper sinks his/her self.
