32 Mister_Teatime Member 171 posts 14,054 battles Report post #1 Posted November 27, 2018 Just had two matches with 2 or 3 Conqs in the opposing team. They spammed HE along with a Henri and Hindy and I was dead in both matches before I could even return fire. 3 fires > heal > 3 fires . . . And it seems to be contagious. One match the NC and the Republique were also spamming me with HE. Is there any way to counter? Seriously, should I just hide and hope they die? MM should limit Conqs to one per team. There is nothing fun about facing them.

What is the best way to counter the HE spam, apart from just go undetected and wait for an opportunity to do damage?

1,380 [AUSNZ] Moggytwo Beta Tester 1,655 posts 15,628 battles Report post #9 Posted November 27, 2018 Conqueror is objectively balanced. It's win rate is very average. It isn't particularly fun to play against if you're a BB, which is the main complaint about tech tree RN BB's, but it's definitely not OP. I would love to see a rebalance of Conqueror - remove the 419's, give the 457's 24s reload and a longer fuse time (0.015s is too short), halve the fire chance on the HE shells, then unnerf the repair party back to 80s recharge. Right there you have a ship that is AP focused, can switch to HE for good damage but with a low fire chance if firing on angled targets. More fun to play, and more fun to play against, while removing the uninteresting 12 gun option for the 4x2 guns so typical of RN BB's. It won't happen though, but it would be a great change if they did it.

This nerf by the way, is enough to reduce their combat capabilities. No more Conqkek firing HE at broadside. Instead, they will fire only six or four guns when facing enemy BB. Against Yamato? well just pray to RNG.

It's not a tanky BB and takes a lot of damage fast. Edited November 27, 2018 by dieselhead
