looks more like a upgraded FCS

The setting is way after WW2, and you can see it has a chopper deck, so anything is possible.

Hate me but I care about the ships escorting the Hotel than the Hotel itself. Are they even cruisers? The ships seem to be as high above water as the Hotel and those guns look like 310 or bigger, not 203... I can be wrong about that, the perspective isn't clarifying anything. There are DDs in the scene and i want to know which class(es) they are. Look like AB-X and in this reality the IJN didn't build ANY DD which that turret arrangement. Japanese Gearings? AB-X Akizuki???

And seriously, the water in the last seconds looks too shallow for a Hotel to anchor in.

I am pretty interested in her escorts too.

The cruisers look like Mogami or Ibuki classes with the seaplane catapults replaced by a helipad. The CV seems to be a modified Taihou with what looks to be F-1 jets (I could be wrong, my plane knowledge isn't that good).

The DDs though, I have no either what they are either. I too thought they were Akizukis which swapped a gun turret for missiles or anti-submarine torpedoes but Akizukis only have one funnel, not two. I think you are right and it is probably a Gearing, which strikes me as a little odd since the show bothered to use Japanese ships for the CA and CV escorts but went American for the DDs.

Then again they probably don't expect the majority of the audience to notice. I mean they did use a Russian helicopter in that scene after all.

Well, NASA incorporated German scientist to help them build rockets after the war.

In this alternate setting where Germany and Japan won the war, would they not do the same?

Possibility anyway I guess.

In a story, the facts and reality are entirely up to the story teller.

Could be some spoilers as its an ongoing series but according to Phillip K Dick canon... they still exist as a very minor power.

I'm actually surprised the westerners are able to go ahead with this television series.. thought they were very sensitive with WWII German stuff and all.. Or it's because in the series the Reich n the Empire are still.The bad guys?

I've only seen season 1 but am going to catch up soon.

One of the lead actors is the woman who plays Kyra (Riddick's warrior girl comrade) in The Chronicles of Riddick (and who was also electro-thief-girl in "Angel")
