AU/NZ snubbed again

Back in season one when we complained about the poor time brackets for Clan Wars for AU/NZ players we were told to be patient because a fix was coming for next season. Next season came and went, as did the next, and now Season 4 is upon us. You guessed it, no progress.

Cross server implementation, as flawed a ‘fix’ as it is, has failed spectacularly and once again the AU TZ are resigned to watch from the sidelines.

Thanks WG. You’re awesome. /s

The game is slowly but surely turning to you know what anyway. Almost time to tell them to shove their russian bias where the sun doesn't shine!

During test iterations we’ve noticed increased server instability, leading to several crashes, relating specifically to the cross-realm match-making feature. Before we are able to resume testing and release the feature to our community we need to thoroughly investigate these issues and make sure they do not affect operations. It looks like this might take some time, so we ask for your patience while we iron things out.
We’ll inform everyone when we’re ready for further test iterations. Thank you for participating in previous tests so far!

So NA is like 1030am for us, Sundays only

EU is like 0400 for us

Asia is 1130pm...

Now imagine the Kiwis +2 hours...

I know we've covered it before but I don't understand how opening it 2 hours earlier (and longer) on Asia would be a bad thing, not to mention Friday nights. As they say, build it and they will come...

Respectfully, the cross server option is not a solution. We all have lives to lead, being given the option to play on a Thursday morning is, frankly, laughable. All you are doing is giving us the ability to play on Sunday morning instead of Saturday night and I can tell you I've got a much better chance of filling a team on a Saturday night.

Adding two hours to the start time of Clan Wars would end this discussion and I'm yet to read a single valid argument against doing it.

Clan Battles mode limitations are mostly about match making, and match making is mostly about number of players available. In order to have adequate matching and queue time, we need to concentrate a group of clans in some limited window. The more time match maker is active, the fewer players we have at one exact moment.

Due to current Clan audience and its activity, RU, EU and NA Clan Battles prime time can be safely tweaked (and we did it), however, modelling the situation for ASIA showed that applying the same tweak would result in huge risks of bad match making, thus making experience worse for everyone on server.

On each server, there is minority of players who are not comfortable with current prime times. Far East on RU, some guys on NA and even on EU. We do want to take care of these players and offer them the same experience, but without hurting the majority. That's why we're developing a solution, whiсh will allow players to go to different server for CvC:)

Like I said, it's not a solution. It's a consolation prize.

Exactly. They hide behind the excuse of long wait times and BS like that.

Ill take my chances waiting in queue for 15mins to half an hour as long as i can queue up at 930 instead of 1130pm.

WG believes by extending play time many clans will get the steel and spam games. Well ffs the game is there to be played. Why get tight over it.

I refuse to spend any more money on this game. It can die a slow horrible death.

We get the bad match making in matches already anyway without clan wars,  so what difference would it actually make?

Why not start earlier on the busiest clan battle night? Surely the "huge risks" of longer waiting times will be mitigated by the number of people on at this time?

Until you can come up with a better solution, why not at least take the risk one night a week to try it out.

Also on a selfish note, I don't buy premium time and ships to be altruistic. I pay my money and expect to access the entirety of the game that I pay for. Why should I be denied access to earn steel and other items because it may impact waiting times?

Will we be compensated because you are unwilling to run clan battles at times that are conducive to AUS/NZ base clans?

the only tweaking you have done since season 1 is delay the start of the CB by 30 min last season, which made it worse for the entire East Coast Australia and NZ. While we have been asking for an extension by making it start earlier and finishing it at the same time. How do you model the situation when we can't even participate?

Most SEA clans have Aussie or NZ players in them that play CW, if you made it start earlier all those players will be around to fill teams. Also I'd be happy to swap a day to have CW on a Friday night, makes it much more viable for us working, PAYING players to get involved.

I honestly think if they expanded it by two hours they'd be surprised.

I'm still yet to see a good reason for no Friday night as well...

My clan has done maybe 5-10 CB nights and never once had 7 of our top 20 players on.

We are a clan that 98% have full time work and a large number of them have kids and the like. With lives like that we can justify playing for a few hours up until midnight but if you had kids you'll know they're up at the crack of dawn... And full time work, we all start early, so no chance during the week.

The irony is at least 30 of our 50 players want to do CB but can't due to the times. And most of us are fairly serious paying customers with many tier 10s...

I would just love to be able to run a true A team, we have some seriously good players in our clan and I'd love to see how far we can get with all of them in one place regularly.

But ATM #squall4lyfe

I have not even bothered with the clan wars because of the timing, which means the vessels I would like to have that can only be bought with steel are not available to me.:cap_wander:

My clan got a few battles in last season (10:30pm start) but this season is not looking good (11:30pm).

While your fixing CB's times can we also get a larger clan size limit as this also hurt my clan when it comes to filling a team for CB

I would like to ask do you mean the entire AUS/NZ player base is what you call a minority of players on this server? We are the 2 main English speaking countries on this server and how do you pull data when we can’t even participate.

this also affects clan members who are in the right time zone where they can’t get enough players to form a 7 man team to play CB.

We are not having a go at you, please provide our feedback to the decision makers.

Don't get sucked into the mindset that language even plays a part in this.   ANZ players are the minority and are on the fringe of the server timewise.    There is little or no incentive to alter times which would disadvantage the majority of the server.
