Yes, WG are actually reworking on CV. Idk if this is a bad or good news, its up to you.

Oh yes, this is a quote from Notser video "They will not release any premium Aircraft Carriers until the rework is in the game." So hey, good news, no OP premium CV until the rework.

But there could be a possibility that they will make CV involved in clan battles btw. 

WG better work on those CVs before BB get obsolete.

Yeah WG has been dropping a lot of hints recently. From news articles on aircraft to the recent Pin-Up video being set on a CV and showing off the 3 different nation CVs at the end (USN, IJN and RN).

Personally I have a feeling we are going to be seeing the UK CV line released together with the rework, or soon after. If you ask me the December holiday period is a perfect time for this.

Its not like playing CV right now is a good idea. Too many AA heavy cruisers , you barely have a chance to drop in a game , and when you do you get reported.

Also everytime you join CV in que for a game , you meet fishing divisions. Just great.

People abusing CV in team to boost WR is nothing new.

Had a humiliating defeat in Kitakaze last night where a Hiryu decided he was going to sink me no matter what.

He eventually succeeded. A T7 CV against a T9 DD which is supposed to be an AA DD :fish_palm:

He was very skilled, and in a division. And our CV wasn’t. Uneven skill matching combined with a ship which can dominate the map.

The current map are just too small to simulate the combat/search distance of WWII CV.

Long distance attack and Large control area are the main advantage of CV.

The current WOWS map size are actually quite small to simulate WWII Naval Engagement. They are more like an arena for Age of Sail battles.

dude, the bigger the map, the more OP CV can become. imagine if the map is 10x from now..... CV is basically unkillable againts other ship. because it can reach player.... but player cannt reach CV

Depend how CV rewoks look like, i think it better to make 2-3 CV player per team viable just like other ships type , it will make CV player less stress than only one guys doing anything. even if 1  sucks does not affect much to battle result. 

WG dont release any CV since GZ drama and i dot think they will do it anytime soon.

This game wasn't planned to be a realistic. It's an arcade game. If you want some realism, go play WarThunder.

Game genre wise, WOWS is actually a multiplayer first person shooter type of game.

CV is more like long range artillery/air support in those scenario.

WOWS is not really simulating WWII naval combat at all.

If, as Notser suggests, we do end up with a CV in almost every battle, I hope that the rework will bring the CV’s abilities in line with those of other ships.

I hope it is turned into a class that is able to do regular, consistent damage to other ships, rather than the massive strikes it can perform now, and gives the other ships the same chance to avoid said damage, as they do against shells and torpedos.

I hope that the rework allows CV’s to spot ships that may otherwise be invisible, like ships hiding behind an island, but does not blanket the map so there is nowhere to hide, or enable planes to circle above a DD constantly with impunity. (Maybe 20-30 seconds before it gets shot down, which is no worse than radar).

Yes, I know that it would not be how CV’s were in real life, but this is a game, and CV’s need to be balanced against other ships.

for god sake, this the 6969696 times, stop treating WoWs like a simulation of naval engagement, IS A-R-C-A-D-E

If it were to be a simulation, you wont be spamming unlimited ammo and UNLIMITED TORPEDOS

and of course the infamous radar which u should know

Well, Although WOWS combat model is not exact simulation of the real naval battle. 

However,  There was some degree of balance between  destroyer-cruiser-battleship in the WWI naval combat model, which the existing WOWS destroyer-cruiser-battleship arcade model had mimicked many of its characteristics, although each role of the ships have been tweaked to fit the game balance,  their combat role still quite follows the traditional WWI model.

Historically, Air power like underwater warfare changed and broke those balance completely.  For the game ARCADE model, it will be really hard for the game CV to base on the real model and tweak it into a role that could balance with the existing destroyer-cruiser-battleship arcade model .

You didn't realize that there is a consumable called "Defensive fire for anti aircraft." do you? This skill became ridiculously scary to CVs if coupled with the following commander skill: basic firing training, advanced firing training, and manual control for AA armament. But this consumable are only available on any mid - high tier cruisers. But that doesn't mean CV is under powered. some of them have AP dive bombers and deep water torpedo bombers and it can potentially destroy several enemies with impunity if players can choose the right target.

I welcome anything that will bring CV's back to the high tiers.   There is no point to ships specc'ed to 100 AA when there is nothing but a few spotter planes around.
