I just want to ask about the yellow turret on the Bismarck camo.

Is the yellow turret on the Bismarck made up by Wargaming or is it actually historical? I could not find any historical pictures so.... i guess its a Wargaming thing :cap_hmm:

I guess it's to help german aircraft know that the ship is german and not mistaken to be an allied ship. Kinda like how they have yellow noses on the BF-109s

Attempts were made to paint the turrets yellow in the morning of 26.5.1941. See survivor report by Otto Maus. It is not clear to me how much stayed on. Maus says the paint on his secondary turret washed off and yellow adhered only to the main turrets.
