With the new season of CB announced, WG decided instead of of having a longer window, it moved the starting time for CB by 30 min, from 10:30pm - 1:30am AEST.

Seriously, WG, do you even take in feedbacks from our past seasons? :Smile-angry:

It seems Aus/NZ players will simply have to wait for cross server Clan wars, unless they can play late in the night. None of the measures suggested so far (inlcuding extending the clan war session time) is simply not viable.

Even that option is a poor one, it just means we'd get to play on one day of the week instead of none. It's encouraging to know that WG have done absolutely nothing to make CW a possibility for AU/NZ clans for three straight seasons now.

Yeah the cross server thing doesn't actually work for us...

Basically no matter what server, we get 1 slot on a weekend.

Seriously WG, I have so many expletives for your treatment of ANZ players...

Many things I can say here, and many things I wont -

One of the reasons I'm mostly on the NA Server, is at least I can participate in CB, be they in the morning as opposed to night time. And I know a lot of other Aussie / NZ players are doing the same.

But your all right, the crossover Clan Battles wont actually help anyone in our timezone either.

Well good luck to the ANZ players for another season of no sleep.

I have always wanted to join a clan but the thought of playing that late when I get out up between 3-5am for work is untenable for me.

It's untenable for all Australians west Duh, I'm and Idjit - East tc EAST of Western Australia. And I'm hearing more and more noise of Players, leaving for other servers or the game entirely :S I too have no real interest other than meeting my commitments at this stage.

Why are we put through this every single season?

How could WG make the times later and not expect some sort of backlash from the ANZ community?

Why won't WG at least trial (for a season) an earlier start time for us?

You can't tell us it's because of server numbers and the MM. Here's a news flash.....WE DON'T CARE! We don't care if we are seeing the same clans over again (it happens late in the season when clans stop playing), we just want a fair go and the abilty to participate. Why is this such a difficult thing to understand?

The cross server idea isn't going to work either. EU CB times for ANZ are 0400-0700, and NA are around midday when everyone is at work or school. None of these are going to work for 95% of people, so why bother?

Please, we are begging you, open the times up an hour earlier so we at least get a chance to compete. I don't understand why this is so hard for WG to understand.

It's not that they don't understand it -

There response has actually been quite clear on it, the time they have selected is when they will get the best turn out to the Battles. Which I personally understand, you want something to be successful as opposed to teams waiting around.

Now we can argue all we want, that this wont affect us, but it effects the experience.... but it's also causing a lot of players to simply give up. They hit that ceiling of T10 expecting to then start playing something akin to specialised battles to get nada.

Again - This is nothing Wargaming HQ don't already know as a number of Mods and Supertesters have had very frank, open and direct communication with the producers.

But, the percentage of players they will loose is smaller and smaller as there are fewer and fewer aussies / nz'ers active on the server. Or they are simply abandoning the game altogether.

The demographic has never been large anyway.  Look at the WOT server and how many people play the au peripheral server.  The market and the money is elsewhere so what company would persist where there is minimal profit.

Basically the Australian/NZ market has no volume and never had. That is why Australia is always ignored as a market or prioritized low. Eastern Australia + NZ has a total population of about 30million-ish. Now try to fight against countries in time zones +7/+8/+9. We are talking billions. Fractions of billions is still bigger than large percentages of tens of millions.

I've said it before and I'll say it again...

Just double the window, earlier...

Or at least add an hour or two more and see how it goes.

They're saying 'not enough people' but jumping on to play casually is completely different to jumping on for CB.

I realise we aren't a huge player-base compared to the rest of the server, however other games manage it just fine.

Won't happen, sorry, but that's from experience talking.

You know, before clan wars there were Team Battles. They started at  a very reasonable 8:30pm and we rarely waited long for a match; participation was even lower back then but it still got us that competitive fix.

It can happen, WG just choose to not let it happen.

Poor form WG, though doubt they will read this section, small area of influence.

For this reason alone when friends from other games ask if its worth playing, i tell them no. Honest and simple, its good for a few good games, but do not invest time or money at all as our region in a competitive sense is marginalised.

Well for the last 2 seasons I have been voting with my wallet & not buying anything, unfortunately that will continue for the foreseeable future. This new timezone is truly abysmal since the games that we manage to play are very enjoyable.

Clap Clap Clap WG.

Isnt that the wrong attitude though?

WGs download page directs us to the Asia region not NA. So should we not be catered to for competitive times?

If its better to go to NA for Clan battles, why doesnt the website direct us there, or are players offered a transfer?

Neither will happen, so we are lumped with trying to get the times rectified.

As a moderator, stating going to play to NA is very counter productive!

Well if we ever got an option to change servers that would actually treat our timezone better I know most of our Clan would jump servers without a second thought.

Oh I'm not delusional but it's worth saying it IMO...

Not like NA is much better, still 1 viable time slot per week, just Sunday day instead of late Saturday night...
