Deleted/replaced scripts_config.xml file

So, I replaced the original scripts_config.xml file with a modified version, from this forum: (https://forum.worldofwarships.eu/topic/21275-tip-how-to-change-server-and-play-wows-on-all-servers-eu-na-ru-asia-using-one-game-client/) in order to access the EU/NA servers rather than just the Asian servers. However, it didn't end up working for the NA/EU/Asian servers at all.

The problem I have here is that I deleted  the original scripts_config.xml file, containing the code to connect to the original Asian servers.

If anybody would be so kind to upload their version of the scripts_config.xml (from the Asian client), that'd be great as I don't want to have to reinstall the entire game for a 500KB file. Thanks very much!

You need more than just scripts config. You also need correct shipstree xml file & to set the correct region in engine_config.xml

Because the shipstree_[server].xml file are server dependent I would recommend just use aslains mods to change the server, or create a copy and configure it for another server.

edit. well you don't need those things if you're just fixing your build. If you want help to set up a build for another server you can pm me if you want.

Ah ok, that does make sense. Since I'm Australian, all I want to do is connect either to the European or preferably the American servers rather than the Asian servers. Would the Aslain mod be the easiest way to go about it?

Aslains mod would be the easiest if you don't have space. Problem with not creating a separate version is you will have to rerun the mod each time you want to change server.

I suggest copy your install and run Aslains mod on the copied version to change it to the region you want. Then update the original files with the changes made by the mod.

From there you have a choice. You can either update each client separately, or you can download Aslains mod each update and repeat the process. Updating each client separately is easier (but uses more bandwidth).

I would suggest NA server. I'm south of Sydney & I get approx avg 90ms on Asia and avg 100ms on NA. I should add I haven't tried the EU server. The crossover means there are always plenty of players online (I consider < 3000 to be time to leave server).

The Aslain mod works like a charm to connect to the North American server! :) However, the only problem I have now is I can't seem to connect to the North American server with my account originally based on the Asian servers. If possible, do you know if there is any possible way to transfer my account from the Asian servers to the North American servers? Thanks again for your time.

You can't transfer accounts.

Damn, that's a pity. But regardless, thank you for all your help and as well suggesting the Aslain mod; I've found a lot of the mods very useful to use.
