No any compensate for elite exp?

I thought players who saw line splits before said the XP will remain at the tier/line where it was earned?

So Cleveland would "lose" it, but it would be transferred to Dallas.

Going on the past it will stay where it is.....Pensacola. You will most likely have to grind Dallas through Omaha :Smile_sad:

You will keep the XP in the T6 Dallas, AFAIK.

The best thing you could do is to buy the current T6 to T9 Cruiser (Cleveland, Pespi, NO and Baltimore), and you will get the original ship (and the camos) as well as its replacement (and the camos) - so its all gains.

You young'uns will never truly know the cheatland in all her magnificent glory when she first came out.   It is currently a mere shadow of what it used to be.

Press F for alpha test Cheatland.

Guys T6 Pensacola is Cleveland's replacement NOT Dallas, everything you have on Cleveland will go to Pensacola.

You will only be able to get Dallas from researching through Omaha.

Sorry to be the bringer of bad news

You certainly have the option.

If it is worth for you, you have to know.

(Clears throat)

Ahem. Ladies and Gentleman, we gather today to mourn the loss of a great friend who stuck with us through the ages.

From the moment I hit tier 4 over 2 years ago (before the MM changes of course), Cleveland was the cruiser to look up to, beloved as an ally as it outshot all its same tier counterparts, and feared and respected as an enemy as a paper-protected Kuma in the hands of a 700WTR InterconKW got ROFLExploded by both Cleveland HE and AP.

As a Fuso-class battleship (My favourite), Cleveland garnered the same respect. Once, in old A hull, the Clevelands would set me ablaze with impunity. Divisioned with a friend Cleveland (Or even playing with a cooperative random one) I felt almost unstoppable as the incoming strikes of even the cruelest enemy CVs eager to dig into my own AA-less hull would be downed. I would handle Cleveland's threats and she would handle mine. 12 small guns HE, 12 big guns AP. 2 tier 6 ships to rule the flank. Cleveland was always my faithful and preferred escort and sidekick.

Surely tired after being one of, if not the most played ship in the game overall, poor Cleveland began to feel the pains of powercreeps. How did the increased shell drag, removed split citadel and decreased benefit of AFT/BFT before my time hurt her? I'll never know. Some say Budyonny, released just before I joined the game, had taken over Cleveland in some roles. Did Nurnberg's better shell arcs and buffed 1/4 pen hurt Cleveland too? How about Leander taking the role of a cap-supporter? Despite all that was said and mounting criticism, Cleveland fought on with an unrivalled spirit and character, now sometimes with added IFHE.

Cleveland, we remember the good times. Times you burned down enemy battleships behind islands, shredded DDs with impunity, spammed your same and even higher tier classmates with shells left CVs running deplaned and carried operations like noone else.

Alas, your time has come to go camp behind the big cloud island in the sky, where you will sail among the DDs that left before you- hopefully not scaring them too badly.

RIP Tier 6 Cleveland. 2015 release to 2018 0.7.5.

A touching tribute, and most amazingly, high respect for a ship you don’t play. A rare sight.

To clear this up, I did play Cleveland, 70 random battles and many more operations. It was a favorite T6 cruiser.

So the loss ;_;

What I don’t understand is why they didn’t just slide her over as a T6 light cruiser. Is she so over powered and dominating in T8 matches, that WG feel she will hold her own and remain competitive in T10 matches, or do they just want another T10 piñata.

In the closed beta she was in T8, but was pushed down to T6 when it went live. From what I understand, age and technology wise, she belonged in T8 (being a newer ship than the Pensacola), but it looks like she was put in T6 because it made more sense progression wise,  light cruisers transitioning to heavy cruisers. Otherwise you would have this oddity at T8 of being a light cruiser in the middle of heavy cruisers. (Yes, Mogammi is similar, but It can switch between light and heavy).

So now that there are two distinct lines, WG have the chance to put Cleveland where she should have been, without upsetting the progression in the main line.

Well let’s just hope that they buff her appropriately for her new tier, and not turn her into a piñata. :cap_rambo:

Light cruisers at height tiers will always be piñatas. Especially if you’re a T8 in a T10 match. But I think Cleveland will remain the DPS beast she is now.
