Stop and go do something else. Take a break.

If you're not feeling motivated to play, then don't push it.

Clear your head then come back.

Like, I mean if it's the ship then try taking a break on it, go play some other ships. Maybe you just keep getting bad luck with MM ruining your day, and the point that you kept on trying to play it just might have tired you mentally also.

I did that sometimes when I felt discourage to play certain line. (i.e. IJN DDs or when I first grind KM DDs)

Just leave the line, take a break and come back later.

Some ships just don't suit your play style.  Work out the best way to play a ship through research, then do your best to play it well.  If it just doesn't mesh with how you prefer to play the game, don't play the ship anymore.

Having the same problem with Pensacola and Mahan. Tried grinding Pensacola while was on cooldown after Hermes mission but every time, I would get deleted in 3-4 salvos no matter how much wiggling and angling I tried. Mahan constantly getting in T9 matches and radared when trying to take caps and was immediately focused down when trying to fight the other dd's later on in the match after being forced out of the caps and although it's a good sign that people are using their logic to help their team (or the cruisers anyways) but it is just a broken mechanic that is killing dd's. DD's should be able to contest caps and fight other dd's or deny areas to the enemy not hang around the cruisers with them and giving some support because they can't utilise their strengths as a result of radar and hydro and super stealthy cruisers (cough Halsey cough minotaur) Just can't play either in random at the moment so I am grinding the pensa in Hermes

I too thought the Edinburgh was kind of meh compared to the Fiji before it. You don't get a much of a power boost but you get thrown into T10 matches a lot. Thankfully the playstyle doesn't change from the Fiji.

Just keep at it and look forward to Neptune and Minotaur. They are well worth the grind.

No need to rush through the Edinburgh - just stop and play another ship if you are not having fun. That's why I like to grind multiple lines and ships - if I get frustrated with one I just play another. Take your time so you won't get burned out.

I am also currently playing grinding through Edinburgh, performing so-so. Sometimes keep losing, sometimes others carries me. Since it is just a game, like @HeidimarieW and @Thyaliad, grind play another line until you are tired of that, or just play one battle a day, win=good, lose = it is ok, next day try again.

Grinding through T8's can become very difficult at times. Recently i got my NC and oh boy 8/10 games are with Yammy's and Monty's on the enemy side. :fish_viking:Not to mention HE spam from Zao's and Hindy's. Makes life very tough especially when your stock and enemy T10 BB is like "eat my superior AP you puny little sheep".

But you do get a good game once in a while, get a triple citadel on a Yammy or dev strike a DM. Keep those as the motivating factors and move on from humiliating defeats.

t8 is rough now for cruisers, bb and dd still alright but cruiser is really tough especially if you are thin skinned lol

yea we do get a good match but nothing compare to alot of poor matches, i get more bad match than good ones this just discourage me from playing anymore

I really enjoyed Edinburgh. Played with RADAR for most part. You can really be a cap bully with low concealment. It's a bit hard to score damage in t10s. I used to target b caps a lot in most maps.

well you have to learn to accept it, losing streak or potato teammate or whatever reason is part of the game

i have bad losing streak, everybody does..too much close game go play or do something else dont let it hog your mind as its just a game

anyway you have badluck one day it will even out, have fun and dont get frustrated with losing

Very good advice there. Sounds like a person worth listening to.

Expand that to the whole RN CL lines and it should be fine i think. lol 8km concealment.

Quite normal to get 8 ships focus the moment u are spotted. Juicer than a pepsicola.

this is the 2nd time i came back to this ship, the first time when i got her i played and have bad run..fine then just another bad run forget about it and play other ships

same goes for baltimore, got her play with her and also a bad run, came back after a month or two rethink how i play and it worked have a blast get to DM

have bad run of defeats is normal but having repeated defeats is something to ponder about

I think we have two issues here.

One is that long string of losses, which we all know can be very frustrating. However, when you are in a string of T9/T10 battles, nobody can expect your performance in a T8 cruiser to decide loss or victory of the team. So you should not blame yourself for those losses.

The other is the ship.

I should say my experience with Edinburgh is quite limited, I have maybe 100 Random battles on the entire RN cruiser line.

RN Cruisers can be tricky, but when you worked your way up to T8 you should have a good handle on it. Edinburgh’s repair party is pretty good, so try to not get killed, rather escape and heal. Before you engage work with the map, have an exit plan. Those 12 6-inch guns are good for engaging lighter targets. Edinburgh is a bit tougher than preceding Fiji, but 8-inch cruisers shells or anything heavier will punish her severely.

The step up from Fiji to Edinburgh feels underwhelming, but you will feel big improvements when you move to Neptune or Minotaur.
