Like the title says. I can name that person. He lay in wait behind an island, sailed out and dumped 6 torpedoes at me. I had done nothing, other than blow up a ship we were both shooting at. Prior to the torpedoes, he let a salvo of cannon go at me, most of which hit. He did 19000 damage. How can I get some satisfaction from this incident?

unfortunately, all you can can do to my knowledge is to submit a ticket to WG support and hope they do something about it. I had a game once where a guy killed me just to end the battle about a minute quicker which sucked as i just needed to survive that battle in order to complete a Yamamoto mission.

Are you new around here?:cap_haloween: Submitting tickets because you got team killed, well if you think that will do any good then you should buy this used lottery ticket I have in my wallet - I 100% guarantee you have a greater chance of that being a winner over any ticket you submit for being TK'd to support :cap_wander:

Oh and in answer to the OP, you have already gained your satisfaction from this by coming to the forums and venting. Ahhh venting, hmmm feels gooooood.

I know its about as useful as tits on a fish to send a report in, but i do it anyway as there is always that lottery chance that something might happen. Anyway, if something does happen the WG employee isn't allowed to tell you anyway, so if it's significant or IF they keep records of reports something might eventually happen. Call me a glass half full kinda guy. Anyway, you dont wanna get suspended by the TK bot for retaliating so there's no point in firing back. Kinda wish it was like WoT (not sure if still the case) where if someone goes blue in the battle, you could shoot back at them without penalty, at least you could get rid of someone who deserves it.

He got penalized by the system with pink status for like next 7-10 games. He has to play clean or this penalty time will not reduce and may even increase. Since action is already taken into account, submitting a ticket won't have much to do with it unless you find a chronic TKer.

And don't forget, screenshots aren't useful enough, you need to submit the replay file too. So make sure you have replays enabled.

And no matter what happens, never try to damage friendly back. You are better than them.

Yeah, thanks all. I knew firing back wasn't going to be good. You don't mind so much if you cop a torp in the heat of battle, should be looking for it really, but a friendly comes up close from behind a rock and slams in 6 torps gets the hackles up. Hey Mr Super Tester, how about I name the bastard, can I do that?

No you cannot. It's against forum rules.

And I'm a tester, not a forum moderator lol. So don't ask me. I'm just another player.

But like I said, you can send the replay to support if it bug you so much.

It’s a computer game, don’t worry about it too much.

If you have evidence, like a replay or at least a screenshot, submit a support ticket.

What WG does about it, only WG knows, but if you don’t report him, he may just go on being an arse.

Without evidence, I wouldn’t bother with a ticket.

He’s now pink for a few battles, but turning pick may not worry him. Doesn’t worry me when my ship turns pink, it’s mostly because of ships that decide to change direction and sail into my torpedos.

Naming and Shaming is against the Forum Rules

Additionally, if he killed you, he will turn pink for the next 10 games, any damage he does to another player will be removed from him. Additionally, it allows other players to kill him from his own side without penalty.

Edited to reflect the wrong information - Should check my references next time *laughs*

I don't think this is correct.

According to the game rules, all allied damage is tracked - This would include any damage inflicted on the pink status player on your team.

World of Tanks allows it, but not World of Warships.

I was damaged or destroyed by an ally

Should an ally destroy or damage your vehicle, the Team Kill tracking system will register the incident.

Considering the TK status of the offender’s account, the appropriate measures will be taken. At a times, this also means that the offender will not turn Pink (TK threshold not reached).

However, we would like to remind you that all allied damage is registered.

Mate are you sure?

Does that mean that if I see a pink player on my team, and i shoot him, I won't get any team damage warnings?

Doesn't seem right..

Yup - My apologies my information was incorrect. I'll make a change to my post now

Digging further around, this is what Pink Does - And it's source is from here http://forum.worldofwarships.eu/index.php?%2Ftopic%2F66730-team-killing-and-punishment-how-does-it-work%2F

A player receives the team killer (Discipline) status under the following circumstances:

  • Has done 10,000 or more damage to allies in the most recent 1,000,000 main battery damage (1% of the damage to allies)
  • Has done 10,000 or more damage to allies in the most recent 1,000,000 aerial bomb damage (1% of the damage to allies)
  • Has done 10,000 or more damage to allies in the most recent 1,000,000 aerial torpedo damage (1% of the damage to allies)
  • Has done 40,000 or more damage to allies in the most recent 1,000,000 torpedo damage, was done to the allies (4% of the damage to allies)
  • Killing an ally with main battery, torpedoes, or aircraft
  • Has shot down 30 allied aircraft or more in the 100 most recent air victories (AA defence doesn’t count, aerial combat only)

As a result, a players nickname becomes pink!

When under this team killer (Discipline) status, a player receives the full damage that he inflicts on any ally as mirror damage, by percentage.

  • For example, if a team killer does 10,000 damage to an ally, which is 50% of that allies health, the team killer also loses 50% of his health.
  • Allies take only 10% of the damage that a team killer is trying to do to them (5% for torpedoes).
  • Allies take full damage from flood and fire damage caused by team killers, this will be reduced in future.
  • Mirror damage is multiplied if the team killer continues to try and cause damage to allies, scaling up to 150%, 200% etc.

To “clear his name”, a team killer must play 6 clean battles – not causing any team damage. If during those 6 battles the teamkiller does hit an ally, the number of battles required to be cleared grows proportionally to the potential damage done to the allies, or kills.

If a team killer relapses and re-offends, he will need (6 + 2*n) battles to remove the team killer status, where n is the number of relapses.

Hi xs920.

May I suggest you don't shoot back at Pink ships. Many pink players are pink by accident and are good team mates and good players. I was team killed by a player during an all in brawl in my "Shiny Horse". I knew it was an accident and contacted him after the game and let him know that I knew it was an accident. Naturally he was disappointed that he had turned pink and apologetic. We had a short chat and he was a heck of a nice fellow.

All the best mate and chin up.

Alex
