G'day folks,

I have a couple of questions that may seem a little silly.

1. Where/how do you increase the size of the mini map?

2. With unique commanders, such as Jack Dunkirk, Steven Segal etc. Is there some way in game to view their unique skills other than using the wiki and do you have to choose that skill for the commander in game for it to have an effect or is it like a free commander skill that you can bypass?

Any and all help will be greatly appreciated.

1: +/-

2:hover your mouse over the skill, and yes you need to activate it with a skill point before you cant use the effect, apart from yamamoto, his skills are passive

Thank you both for your replies but, I hold Ctrl and left click on the +/- and nothing happens.

It's funny the number of little shortcuts and tweaks that one fails to pick up, even after many thousands of battles (no offense intended). I only discovered Shft-X the other day, even though I knew about Ctrl-X. I wonder how much else I don't know?

Yeah, I had a friend who played WoT for like 2 years and I played for 2 days and knew that RIGHT CLICK meant I could pan the camera and not move the gun, and he didn't know that.

Can we beg WG for to make a mark on improved skills so I don't have to compare it one by one? Since WG will add more of these special admiral anyway. Additional to minimap resizing, how can I flip the mini map?

"Settings" ==> "Controls" tab ==> check the box "Rotate mini map"

Not advisable to use that

erm there a yellow label on top right corner of the commander to indicate is a unique commander.

Why would you wanna flip the mini map? there a setting to rotate the minimap.

No, I mean the skill like Jack Dunkirk smoke radius is increase when upgraded.

There is no mark for that.

The one a lot of people seem to miss is being able to switch between paying for premium consumables in doubloons or credits ... it's only doubloons by default.

For me it was "ctrl-G" to turn off the HUD. Not really game-relevant, but nice for screenshots.

And you need to keep an eye on the consumables, some people find they reset after a patch!

No offense, there are features that aren't obvious in the game! There's a very handy one which I am not sure when it was introduced ( may have been start of last year? ).Press H in game, and you get a pop up side bar on the right of the screen that shows stuff like all your gun ranges, visibility ranges, and how many of your weapons have taken out.

Its good when you don't have stats memorised and want to know them mid match.

Oh,anyone know when the Hydro ranges were removed from the icons in game when you hover your mouse over them.Used to be handy for a quick reference and they are gone now?

Took me a while to figure out the ships horn is "N"

Don't think I knew that myself, although I was more interested in turning the feature off in settings than learning what button to use!

Still hear them sometimes at game start though, don't know if its a bug or you an still hear them if the ship is close.

I don't even know the armor value, aa gun statistics, or most other numbers in general. You don't need these to play the game.

Yeah, fair enough, tooting the horn is probably "fluff" more than anything else.

It appears there isn't an "official" place where you can see all key shortcuts. Articles dealing with controls on the WoWS site are often years old, more current links generally point to discussion forums and similar. That's at least what I found when I tried to find the key that toots the horn.

Just did a quick check of WG Wiki page, couldn't find a list of keys there:

http://wiki.wargaming.net/en/Main_Page

This one doesn't have much either:

http://world-of-warships.wikia.com/wiki/Controls

Yeah I did a Google search to and only comes up with links from 2015!

Oh,very helpfully the Readme.txt file only has Readme.txt in it to! I remember when those files used to be chock full of info!
