Should I buy the new year special Kaga?

I'm a main BB player with a minimum experience with CV and good RTS skills. I focused on grinding to Yamato that I only leveled CV up to Hosho and Bogue. 

I stopped playing CV when WG locked the manual controls for Tier V & below.

I'm still looking forward to get a CV to do missions like set fire, torp hit & shoot down planes and I find that the Kaga is very intriguing.

But the main concern is she got Tier VI planes that slow and weak, the struggle against Saipan is to be expected. I got a friend who complains about how broken Saipan is all the time.

Should I bring Kaga to my port at all? It would be best If I can do a test run on her, suck that there's no such feature.

Edit: nvm i think i mistook that, well i got a small fortune for the Lunar New Year event. Just want to spend decently.

I'm not sure which RTS you was played but CV actually need more micro skill and then ability to reading the map ,since you need to control atleast 6 squadron at the same time, it quite tricky , but if you familiar with something like starcraft you probably will fine. 

About Kaga is she is very good ship for farming dmg when top tier, but be honestly she only better than Ranger,  anything else is kinda meh. If you need CV for mission, just get Independent or RJ, their MM is good and still fun to play or just wait for Saipan (since it just OP) .  CV tier 7 and above only worth if you truly enjoy CV gameplay (which probably not very fun extreme........)

Yea I mean Starcraft 2, just casually with my friend that i got average APM of 100 and 200 if going hard.

Played a match to see if I still can handle a CV, rather annoying that there's no manual controls.

Don't even bother getting a Kaga. T7 CV place is dominated by Broken Saipan and her OP planes. Kaga's low tier planes will just get ripped apart by those tier9 Fighters.

Thank god I'm almost done with the Ranger, I can finally move on to the Lexington and leave that hellhole that is tier7 CVs. Unless WG fixes that damn Saipan, I am never going back to tier7 CV Random battles, and strictly only using them for Scenario Mode.

I rarely play that also.

There are currently 2 Scenarios that are played by tier7 ships: Ultimate Frontier and Operation Narai. Playing these scenarios are surprisingly good at grinding credits and training captains. This is where I grind my Ranger, and use my Scharnhorst most of the time, It gives a good profit every match so long as you get 4-5 stars.

just buy it and keep it in port...
after that grind IJN CV tech tree until you reach hiryu and play hiryuu....
play hiryuu until you good enough to manual attack and strafe, after you have experience now you can play kaga more easily....

If you see yourself playing cv in the future, buy it because you never know when it will be on sale again.

Though please learn how to play cv or your team will rage at your inability to do so.
