find a t7 ship that you can consistently do well in and enjoy. t7 cruisers dont have heals so apart from the damage control party, you can ignore using prem comsumables to save a bit more credits

If you have experience in playing CV's, you can use them to earn credits and the best tiers will be at tier 6. You can pick a t5 or t6 ship as your credit earner if you don't play CV's.

Play a lot of T7 games. I strongly recommend (from the tech tree) King George V, it handles being uptiered very well, can rack up huge damage numbers, and only needs two premium consumables. Its repair cost is very modest. T7 has very favourable MM most of the time. 

Also while signals help, theres no dependency on any particular signal for this ship to perform optimally. As long as you have an advanced commander, you're set for good.

The profit margins in random games for tech tree ships is probably the highest for KGV. Other T7 ships that handle being uptiered well like Gadjah Madah require more premium consumables to be effective, so this hampers profits.

I used to use Mexico and Fuso as cash cows (and still do) but the current state of MM have ruined their function for this. Hard to earn a lot when ur uptiered all the time.

Another money saving tip is to play ships for which you've received self replacing unique camos from various events in the games history such as the New Years events, Hunt for Bismark, Halloween or HSF collaboration. (eg. Mexico, Fuso, Elizabeth, Fushun, Budyonny, North Caro, Charles Martel, Kiev, Yamato, etc).

They reduce cost of repair and save you the cost of replacing the camo. I.e. those savings = more profit for you. Hope this helps.
