How to set layer 16:9 ?

heyy do you all know how to set layer 16:9 at 4:3 layer monitor ?, because before get updated but that was very long ago i can make it reso full at 16:9
but now i can't do that

I think it would be better to get a new monitor.... you can pick up a widescreen one pretty cheaply.... even a second hand one...  would look better too....

just select a 4:3 resolution

If you have a 4:3 monitor, go for 4:3 layer and not 16:9.

There is no point.

But if you really want to do it, either play around in the game's graphics settings (like the Aspect Ratio) or just search it on Google.

yeah i have 2 patch of WoWs one from WGC and one from Steam, WGC is for my primary account
i use that patch on steam for just my other account not my primary account so i dont need a full ratio but i want make my PC running is little bit different lighty on fullscreen so i use 16:9 but that option can use before the update maybe around 5 months ago

In case you're using a 4:3 Aspect Ratio screen and want to use a 16:9 resolution:

1.Go to settings.
2.Select Aspect Ratio drop down menu.
3.Select 16:9.
4.Select Resolution drop down menu.
5.Select appropriate Resolution.

Incase you're using a 16:9 Aspect Ratio screen and want to use a 4:3 resolution:

1.Go to settings.
2.Select Aspect Ratio drop down menu.
3.Select 4:3.
4.Select Resolution drop down menu.
5.Select appropriate Resolution.

 

Also, why are you guys all referring to "Aspect Ratio" using "layer".

 

If you want your computer to be less taxed by the game:
1. Lower your settings.
2. Run on a lower resolution.

when i set to 16:9 the ratio is stretch to 4:3 again

i don't know why??, before version 0.7.0 is running as well

What kind of monitor & game resolution that you using right now? 

Mine using ultrawide monitor and I can change any kind of aspect ratio in the game (by switching it to full-screen mode) without any problem. But I prefer full screen windowed mode, less hassle. 

 

Try delete the old "preferences.xml" in the game folder if you want a clean solution (the game will create new preferences.xml its own).

Then try change your monitor resolution & aspect ration again.

Yeah similar problem to mine..

But I'm experiencing crashing/freezing problems after 0.7.0 update. prior to the update no issue 100%.

After much testing/reinstall/reset, the resolution was the main culprit.

Used to be able to run Fullscreen @ 1366 x 1080, aspect ratio 16:9 with no issues. Oh not anymore.

Deleted preference.xml didn't help much. Forced to go Windowed @ 1280 x 720 forgot which aspect ratio was used. Crashing issue reduced, not entirely eliminated.

now im using this square dell 4:3 1280 x 1024
and i wanna change to 16:9 1280 x 720
