So jumped into PTS, it is asking for me to play an FN BB for one of the missions, yet there are none in the Tech Tree...

You can earn an Alsace from the Vive le France collection containers. However, to do that you first need to complete the "Reward on Main Account #2" mission before it unlocks the "Vive le France!" repeatable challenge that gives you the containers.

Yeah thanks mate, some folks in game were explaining it too...

Did I miss something in the notes?

The preview article states that you have a chance to earn the mission to earn the ship it in PT from the collection containers. The rest was figured out by checking the missions/challenges in-game.

So, to recap:

  1. Complete "Reward on Main Acc. #2" mission
  2. Play more battles to earn collection containers
  3. Get lucky with the collection containers and earn the special mission
  4. Complete the special mission to earn Alsace

Turns out do the 5 wins mission, then you get a personal mission of play 1 battle, then you get the Alsace.

Excellent secondaries, better than KM, ok guns, good AA but my god you have bad armour...

Seriously I think it'll need an armour buff!

Having said that been topping XP almost every match - but that could be PTS players being bad.

I find Alsace somewhat confusing or a lack of identity in what roll it is suppose to play .

The AA seemed decent enough as the byproduct of going a secondary build.

I think i got the secondaries to 10.6km or something, but didn't go "Manual secondaries" as i feel that concealment was much more viable, and again the armor isn't up to heavy punishment if you try to brawl. Plus being sub 13km from anything your asking for trouble.

If building for a full secondary spec then your main gun accuracy is like a shotgun at max range, and even sub 14km there's a lot of scatter.

With my limited games in the Alsace it seems to me that its a "slow kite away" BB. Go in with your team then turn out and let the secondaries open up, when they close distance then you hit the speed boost to gain distance again. Rinse and repeat.

I agree but I also believe in gameplay more than just the WTR style. (That isn't aimed at anyone).

What I found is that if well supported, you can actually bully into caps quite well. The best part happened maybe 2/3 on average where enemy would turn and run, then you spoed beest after them and their team collapses.

My survival rate wasn't good, my damage was usually 70-120k but was regularly topping XP and winning almost all the games...
