Asians, what ships do you really want to see?

So according to a live panel at Gamescom, "Pan-Asia ships was an attempt to create a branch specifically for the Chinese/Asian region". Source: https://thedailybounce.net/2017/08/29/world-of-warships-gamescom-2017-dev-qa-digest/

I honestly don't blame WG for pandering to us Asians so long as it gets them money and keeps the game running. I've no interest in ships that were neither designed nor built by Asians in domestic shipyards, especially post-WW2 ships. Designs drawn by a foreign naval architect for an Asian navy does not count. Being Asian doesn't necessarily mean that I want Asian ships, if there were any to begin with (that fit the game's time period).

I believe I'm in the minority when it comes to ships I really long for in WoWS. My personal favourites are HMS Prince of Wales and HMS Repulse, mainly because they were here in SE Asia, defending my home country during its time of need. Granted the only thing they achieved was to become "the first capital ships to be sunk solely by air power on the open sea", but they were there for us nonetheless and I will always be grateful for that. I know the Prince of Wales is a KGV-class battleship which is coming tomorrow, but it's a very different ship than the one we're getting (different camouflage, fewer AA mounts).

Then there's the Dutch East Indies campaign. Virtually every Allied ship that was there pique my interest: Houston, Java, De Ruyter, Electra, Exeter, Marblehead, Tromp, Perth, Kortenaer etc. I'm glad we already have Perth and Marblehead (the latter in pre-war configuration though) and hope the others will appear in the near future, particularly Dutch warships considering they spent most of their careers in the Far East. Japanese warships were in SE Asia too, so why no mention of them? Well, let's just say I have sympathy for the losing side.

Out of curiosity, what ships do you really want? Are Pan Asian DDs to your liking even though none are indigenous? Aussie and Kiwi players are also welcome to share your thoughts.

still though seeing a Commonwealth branch wouldn't hurt. to be honest though when i saw pan asia i was suprised and then dismissed it cause the line looks like the scraps of other lines all jumbled together

Well, I would like to see the 1938 Dutch Paper Battlecruiser designed by Ingenieurskantoor voor Scheepsbouw (I.v.S). a Front company for AG Vulkan and Krupp which designed the scharnhorst

the trio battlecruiser were planned to build in 40.000 tons Floating dock on Surabaya Naval Shipyard (or at least one of them)

though the project itself have problem in designing torpedo protection, with German were relucant to share details on theirs.

and even though dutch were appeal like crazy to be given glimpse of pugliese system of Vittorio all the italian given were vertbal explanation devoid of schematic. turn the project into halt

if Dutch project succeed, the trio battlecruiser would be build on Indonesia. and prob the biggest naval warship build on the region

The closest would be Ning-Hai class

Japan supplied Yubari design, then Chinese modified it and buid it on their shipyard

its 2500 ton displacement, it prob be the largest that I know

other unique pan-asian design usualy build by foreign shipyard

As an Aussie, I would love to see the battlecruiser AUSTRALIA... Also the cruiser CANBERRA (the 3 funnel heavy gun) & the 2 Sydney's (wwi that sank the Emden. & the 2 funneled Cruiser same as Perth.

I am not a DD person, I only have 4, & 3 were gifts,  so I will not be doing pan Asia line.

IJN number 13 class Battleship...

4x2 457mm guns...

I would guess tier 9 premium or 2nd BB line with something like an A-150 at tier 10...

IJN have enough to have almost a completed Battlecruiser style BB line and a mostly Dreadnaught style line.

I would have said kii class, but she's coming anyways...

As much as I want anything flying the PH flag, there's really nothing. Unless WG decides to sell a destroyer escort with 3x3in guns that would probably still suck even at t2.

I heard that the Pan Asia lines are looking to be "Deep Water" torpedo boats... interesting to see how that plays out because against other DD's the torps might miss and their guns would be similar to Japanese mainline.

But it will be nice to see the line come to fruition.

Aussie, liking the pan-asia line because more variety is always good and more DDs are always good.

I'd quite like to see Commonwealth lines in game, both Destroyer and Cruiser are viable, as well as Netherlands and Sweden ships (the latter could do a full DD line). Of course I want to see more lines for the British, French, and especially Italians as well.

Not a fan of making every unique or one off ship out there a premium, so basically anything that can be put into a tech tree line would be good.
