USN DDs are so underpowered

look at it, USN DDs obviously need a massive buff, that level of performance is just unacceptable, USN won the war, so why are things like this happening? obviously we need to buff them till they meet realistic standards!

Not surprised, the USN is famous for their OP Damage control, just see how many USN Ships in WW2 took a massive beating and still float

Arleigh Burke is designed to keep fighting even with 60%  of ships is missing (crew, hull, superstructure, anything)

every modern warships designed to keep operated with less than 50% ship sustainability just like world war era warships

 

however there is a period where the expected sustainability is lesser, its when the dawn of atomic age.

where everything got thrown were nuclear tipped.

so ships sustainability doesnt matter, its evaporated anyway (or even if the ships intact, the crew would turn into goo and no humans can operate it anymore, so everything is moot)
