Update 0.6.8 is finally live! Operation Dynamo, Improved Quick Commands, Reworked Supercontainers and Upgrades... qutie a lot of juicy stuff in this release. What excites you the most? What hopes do you have for future updates?

9 of the commander skills for Anthony and Gallant have already been assigned, most are ok except for the 1 point skill which I personally would have assigned to preventative maintenance.

Oh and I love the new port.

When you die - the camera doesn't work as before. You can only spectate within the range of sight of where you died. Cannot see ships on your own team at other parts of map. This is frustrating - I used to enjoy watching my teammates play out the battle . . . now can only see bits and pieces.

 

Is this an error or design?

after the update I feel it a bit lagger than the previous patch when I fired the gun, is that normal? I have checked my internet connection and everything is fine :cap_hmm:

Same here.

The ARP and HSF voices are not working properly. Some voice commands will give other country's lines instead.

I'm really enjoying operation Dynamo and look forward to it becoming a regular weekly operation as well.

It would be interesting to play the operation from the German perspective. If each player had a number of Eboats and Aircraft they could be controlled in a similar fashion to the aircraft from a cv. Eboats are essentially torpedo bombers so you could take a CV captain and play the German units. Just like the CV game you could have a finite number of replacement aircraft and eboats.

Mines are a nice feature as well. It would be interesting to see them as a consumable on cruisers.

This has been a very enjoyable update.

Framerate always dropped to 30fps I wonder what happend not like previous verion there still run on 60fps

Dunkirk port is nice though the colours are a bit too dull.

 

Operation Dynamo is great. Didn't expect a historical battle so soon (face it, they only wanted to capitalize on a movie). However, WG really needs to reduce the number of planes and schnellboots for the following reasons:

  • Language barrier. Communication and teamplay is virtually impossible on the Asia server because majority of the playerbase don't understand English. Quick commands do not help whatsoever.
  • Random pubbies not having a single clue what to do in Dynamo (either they didn't bother to read about the mission or they just don't care but play anyway) only makes the experience much more worse. You can't force teamwork down their throats.
  • The sheer numbers of planes and schnellboots reminds me too much of the Star Wars prequels. Ever heard of the saying, "less is more", WG?

I still think that special upgrades should've been removed entirely from supercontainers. The bonuses they give are in no way 'super'. Aiming Systems Mod 0 is superior to any of them and can be bought for a mere 125k credits, the only downside is that they can be mounted on three Japanese cruisers. I'm glad the chances of getting a special upgrade has been reduced though. Hopefully they're extremely rare now.
