everyone is really mad because i got RDF....... yess i am potato

is that wrong to get RDF on Algerie?

 

i hope i have a replay.... we are losing, but the Amagi [LooklikeD] defense the base AGAINTS 5 warship (not include DD) and WAOW, its destroyed most of the ship. also the Leander and DD [forget its loong name] also helping by rushing the enemy base forcing the half of fleet get back or capped. the leander got 3 kills and the Amagi got 4 kill......

 

and what i am doing? well, i did nothing :V except for spamming chat i got RDF

after that, *Beep beep word come from DD.  also the other said that IFHE and CE is more usefull.....

its look like they cannt believe that RDF on Algerie is exist.....

well, its the Amagi and Leander fault that they are losing.... ABSOLUTELY NOT MY FAULT. the torpedo missed to amagi is not because my RDF, its just missed....

 

well, i think i am going to switch with CE......

 

note :

- playing on 2GB netbook, what are u expecting for? 2 weeks its too long for not playing WoWs..... after that my Shokaku will be fixed in the port.

- using 1% mod to be able for playing.

- i am absolutely potato, dont look at my damage :V

- very thanks for my team to carry me :V

then you on about other ships then your computer...

- only me and amagi survived, if 1 of us sunk we lose

- i try to tell amagi where is DD, by saying i got RDF and my salvo will pinpoint the direction of DD

- i accidentally press tab <to all> , so anyone know i got RDF

- enemy Kagero trying to torpedo the Amagi, BUT MISSED

- the DD saying beep beep word (not getting the SS) and blame the RDF that he fail to torp amagi

- the enemy Bismarck(sunk) said that IFHE and CE is more usefull

- DD said "GGRRRRHHHHH" also he said that RDF is only usefull for IJN DD chasing USN DD

- and then GG, after that everyone said GG

*if you wonder why the grapic is so eye hurting, its because the 1% mod

 

so, people still think that RDF is useless. my point is RDF can bring usefullness when this critical moment is happen. this will bring the psychological effect that "hey, enemy is knowing my position. i cannt ninja torp em"

OK.... Now I understand..... Thank you for re explaining your post, its the first post I have understood of yours, because without sounding rude to you, every other post I've tried to read of yours,  is like watching a man on a bicycle rolling downhill at full speed without brakes, wobbling all over the place & not making any sense at all...

however, I am glad you have re explained it...

the point of your post is that you having RDF on your ship, helped save the game & your team, because you were able to prevent the enemy DD from sneaking up undetected, & you accidently let the enemy team know you had RDF, & their DD didn't like it...

Well done in the match..

& well done in this second post, its much nicer for all when readers can understand a point or a topic, & not just random thoughts put together.

@Skarhabek The times you actually need RDF is really limited, and CE is a nearly always helpful thing.

Next time please organize your post so we can understand you.
Also about the RDF, that was one situation. IFHE wouldn't help you as Algerie is 203mm. CE would be useful in general.

Spotted less often is directly proportional to less chance of deletion by BBs.

CE will allow you to dictate engagements better.

CE will generally be more useful.

Any captain with RDF selected will be able to show the general direction to the nearest undetected ship(that's not a carrier). As shown in the picture below, a white arc indicate a rough direction of the nearest ship 

 

Meanwhile, the ship being detected will have a "Located" icon popping up

It is a good skill for DDs, but for other classes it is very subjective.

For those classes, RDF is only useful in highly specific situations (like the one OP was in), and those 4 skill points could have gone into other more useful skills.

For most other situations, RDF can be replaced simply by having better map awareness.

As stated its good on DDs or when you have the spare points. I popped it into my 19 pointer Fiji captain instead of AFT. Its been handy in games to hunt DDs that try and get torp walls off at you or trying to ambush. It is limited yes, but it comes down mostly if you as a player find the skill useful.

 

If you dont, respec your captain into something else.

 

Normally id not take this skill as the first 4 point captain skill though, that would be CE generally.
