They dont require support and fill a combat position by themselves due to IJN insistence on their ships to be solo capable against US task force with kiting and ambushing. If you play random alone alot they are almost perfect as you almost always dont need anyone else to help you and that is a big plus. Zao in particular troll AP to no end with its armor layout. Their biggest weakness is that they dont offer team utility support ( lone wolf).This isnt really a weakness in ASIA server however as players tend to mind their business than mind their team efforts 1 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

3,609 [151ST] S4pp3R Wiki Editor 4,535 posts 16,859 battles Report post #10 Posted July 12, 2017 They aren't in my opinion, they just have quite a few strong points: - Great guns, accurate with great HE and AP - Great Torpedoes - Good HP - Good stealth for size What they suffer from: - Poor refire rate - Mediocre AA - No Radar (Radar is a big thing in higher tiers). Back near release, IJN Cruisers were arguably better than their USN counterparts after tier 6, as more Cruiser lines were released, at each tier they suddenly had strong competitors and with the advent of Radar, they have dipped in strength in the tiers they used to be king. They are still good, IMO there are just better ones in each tier 7-10 and IJN have never really been the best below that IMO. IMO the three standouts are: - Tier 7 Myoko - Tier 8 Atago (premium) - Tier 10 Zao But these three definitely aren't 'best in tier' however they are still strong ships. (T8 and T10 are ok) -what is HP (T9-10) -cannot camp behind island -angle torpedo are bad -low HP in high tier -no radar same VMF or USS, hydro not far as KM, no engine boooost as French, no smoke as RN for pew pew pew in smoke which ship are good? myoko mogami (was and now with 155mm) and zao Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
