HE spamming BB's in Ranked WTH ???

Well i am in the R10-5 section of Ranked now and all the damm BB's are doing is spamming HE what the hell is going on with these low skilled players who can't fire AP ??? Has some Idiot put a Ranked guide up for potatoes that sais just fire HE ???

 

I have said before that a BB should only have a limited amount of HE salvoes as this is insane that nearly all enemy BB's are firing HE instead of trying to chunk out damage with unrecoverable Citadel damage, honestly It's pretty disgraceful

i spam HE on Bismarck from 18~20 km and hide behind island (BB vs BB). HE on BB have a higher chance of burn......

They do if two of them are hitting you with HE and setting constant fires.

I'd say it depends, sometimes he is actually a smart guy doing the right thing.

At T6 BB standard hull thickness is 25mm, which cannot be overmatched by 356mm AP. So HE against angled BB in Fuso/NM/AZ/Dunker is not a bad choice.

But if you are KM BB with shit HE, better off firing HE at the superstructure and getting 2k per shot

Bayern is 380mm so just fire AP, you can overmatch that 25mm. But IMO Bayern's guns are not very reliable due to the horrible dispersion.

If you go close it's alright. You have 8 guns, even if one citadels a CA, that's half his health. Against BBs, a full salvo of penetrating hits can knock off 10k which is around 1/5 of a BB's health

What I am talking about is multiple BB's firing HE from the start of the game until the end of the game without switching to AP, I personally find it be bad for gameplay as it encourages no skill from angling to shrug off enemy fire you just get burnt to the waterline with very little ability to counter.

if you'd ever played BB you would know the AP at tier6 is very ordinary.

only works between 2 and 14 KM in my arizona.

anything beyond that and i might aswell be throwing socks.

also you might aswell want to consider "bounces". if you played BB 

ever in your life you will know the interface tells you when your shells are bouncing off.

that's when you use HE>

 

tier 6 is also full of very armoured little BB's which are very hard to citadel.

but i wouldn't need to tell you that IF YOU'D ever PLAYED BB

neither do you, i had you on the other team yesterday, you were the last one on the team,  me in a byern and you in a arizona, for the entire match i only say you fieing HE like a skrub, even when i was BROADSIDED AT 2KM, i was on much lower HP then you and you still failed, you are telling other people that they dont know what their jobs are when YOU suck at you doing you job, dont be a hypocrite and take a deep long look at yourself first before you comment on others and how they play

I disagree mate. Had 2 BBs (pretty sure it was a Fuso and New Mexico) spamming me with HE in a rank 14 game yesterday, tanked and killed both. Between my anti fire perks/equipment, repair, premium heal (still got 50-odd, I keep em for ranked) and flags all they managed to achieve was giving me Dreadnaught.

 

This has happened a lot on my way up from 18... *Shrugs* easy wins.

 

Played most of yesterday, lost maybe 3-4 games. Hopefully I can keep this up, really want to get to rank 5, or at the very least sub-10.

Im personally surprised to see unicum fusos spamming HE too against my warspite. I understand why and would be doing it to.

Well I only have nearly 700 BB games at T6 so i understand that I have no idea what I am saying or what I am doing in a BB and can reliably do 20k salvoes on enemy BB's from 19km away in my New Mexico as I understand & know where to aim to do the most damage. I learned this from trial & error as well as watching youtube vids as well as advice from my Clan mates, but we can go with I've never played BB's before...

 

The fact that most T6 BB's have decent armour means that you need some level of skill to get the most out of your shots which is what I am getting at as HE spamming is about the lowest form of skill in this game as you get damage + potential double fire this sort of result can be gained by rolling your face on the keyboard.

I have seen some of the better Clans (POI, VOR, MEGA, ZOO) all firing HE from conception to grave, It still doesn't take away from what I am saying that it is an unskilled form of gameplay

It certiantly can be scary when you have 4 Fusos firing 48 gigantic HE rounds at your poor little cruiser :,(

It is also very effective at killing ships in smoke (he or ap, doesnt matter, AP tends to be more effective. Got a 16k citidal in my cruiser through my butt in smoke)

no, i knew i made a mistake there, and frankly since you were firing HE all the time i didn't even care i made it, because the only thing you did to help the team was to fail, seriously i was on 15k HP and you were close to 40k HP IIRC, if you actually knew what you were doing i wouldn't have even bothered to try and outgunn you, i would have simply rammed and tied the match, but no, you wasted the chance that your team gave you and lost by spamming HE, and you tried to say the OP had no idea how to play BB when you are worse then him? i merely called you out on that.
