I played Isokaze. I tried to sneak behind enemy line by hugging the border. Then I saw this enemy fighter heading northward toward my team position. But halfway through, the fighter suddenly change course and head straight for me. So I change course and move away from the fighter's path hoping to evade detection. But the fighter readjust it course and keep heading straight for me until it detected my ship. Would you consider this a lucky guess, or would you consider it cheating/collusion.

I'd say lucky guess, If it was getting late in the game and the CV shot down your teams planes then I see no reason why a CV captain wouldn't go searching for an undetected DD.

Eh, it's not hard to predict where the DDs are at any given time. Specially there is a settings in the map that keeps showing you the last known position of each enemy ships.

 

There are many other ways, may be his team mates pinged the map saying here is something spotting me. And intuition also works, the CV player could just ask himself where would I go if I were that DD. Or... It might as well actually be a co-incidence. Who knows, may be someone in the enemy team had RDF (highly unlikely at T4, but possible).

 

IMO, it is even easier for a CV player to find a good DD player (just check the important places) rather than a bad DD player (who went god knows where during the game). So no, you cannot report this. PS. I consider it as skill, the CV was doing the right thing.

maybe enemy team has a gud communication, like a high concealment cruiser informs the team he's been detected
or a DD player who has learnt radio location share the intel

Enemy team most likely spotted all other DDs except you, so the enemy CV, who has a brain, assumed you were border hugging to try to get "super epicc surprise DD attakk on CV".

Geez! Does the 2015 OBT tactic of DD sneaking CV still work? I mean no other tactic of that time work now, like multi shima division, or BB bow tanking all the time and survivability build, OP USN CV didn't survive till today and strike mod isn't the only valid option now. And as all the other replies said, there are ways to guess where the DD is.

There is another possibility that one of your team knows a guy in the other team and told him your location.

It work quite well for me. Maybe because of the low tier with many inexperience players. My primary target is always the sniper BBs. I won't actively hunt for CV unless I stumble upon it.

Base on my detection range (and the surrounding islands), i can make a guess where enemy DD is and ping the location on the map for our CV to scout it out (though most of the time they ignore my ping and go on to do their own stuffs until that same DD rekt the whole team).

My guess is 75% accurated btw, without RDF/RL.
