Is there an arcade trend within the developing team, like high tempo, high turn around, bright colours and WOT shoot them up style.

I think most players who play games like World of Warships have a “realism aspect” of appeal for these games and WG doesn’t get it.

War Thunder has a realism vibe, WOT has an arcade vibe, WOWS 2016 had a realism vibe, I think that WG might be making a mistake turning WOWS into a arcade vibe, they just don’t get there patron’s vibe.

I must've missed that realism part, was that pre-alpha?

I think he might referring to those $#%& ARP ships, the ones with the ridiculous colors

Ordrazz

Though one can banish them by using a filter at the port.

Oh yeah, I totally forgot about it, darn, and then I remembered that space ships pre-date the Arpeggio ones...

v0.17.x (Alpha) and before it was when the game could arguably be said to have more "realistic" mechanics.

It was also a lot more boring.

I think WG definitely knows what kind of vibe the players want.

the IJN literally ruled the sea when the game was still at beta states though...
