For me first I want all CV from below T9 to have a +-1 MM. They suffer when playing bottom tier, while a -2 bottom tier ship is next to helpless to a +2 top tier CV(with some exceptions)

 

2nd I want removal of the stupid 2/0/2 and 0/1/3 from Ranger and Lexington. Replacing them with balanced bomber heavy or balanced fighter heavy with 1/1/2 or 2/1/1

And also giving Essex and Midway 3/1/1

 

They simply must find a way to make USN CV match the versatility of the IJN ones.

 

And someway of making it less harsh on the player about losing plane..?

 

And a better way to control multiple squadron. The current control is quite annoying at times.

 

I don't really know how I feel towards CV. Their ability to rekt people with DOT is quite disgusting. But at the same time, they lose plane left right and center.

 

Anyway, what do you want to see from the upcoming CV rework?

well, this is my thought as CV player, -2 bottom tier is fine. i said once again, fine.

i am facing tier 9 sheep and usually tier 8 sheep in Hiryu and that is fine. the problem is when there is +2 match, CV will become ultimate *BEEP for any sheep below its tier. the optimum CV match should be -2 or +1 againts other sheep.

 

for loadout, IJN is fine. but, he USN CV should :

1. REDUCED Squadron plane from 6 to 5

2. from bogue, Air Supremacy loadout should have 1 more dive bomber squadron. fire damage can be reliable to terror the sheep

3. from bogue, Strike loadout have at least 1 fighter, at least you can fight now :V

4. increase the accuracy for DB

5. DB can be upgaded by IFHE commander skill, can citadel enemy sheep for full damage :v  OR DETONATION HAHAHAA

6. nerf saipan plane into tier 8 instead of 9, but increase number of fighter squadron by +1. no change for other

 

other change :

1. FIGHTER STRAFING CAN DISABLE some ENEMY AA for 7 sec [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kcBW2r8-abk] '>https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kcBW2r8-abk] 

2. higher chance for DB to destroy Sheep AA [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kcBW2r8-abk]

3. Rear gunner deal 60% more damage 

4. "expert rear gunner" should buff 25% instead of silly 10% that mean nothing !

5. DECREASE SHEEP AA damage by 75% when inside the smoke. but when radar is active, it deal normal damage.

btw, controlling multiple squadron can be done by hold "shift"

Increased hangar size and proper AA for t4/5 ships to reduce sealclubbing. A new tutorial mission teaching things like strafe, manual drop, cross drop, etc...that must be passed with high enough score before a player gains access to CV in random battles.

increased AA is useless, torpedo will still launched and you got killed. Add defensive fire for CV from tier 4 to reduce the accuracy of the bomber! it will punish the CV snipe seal clubber :v

 

and NO increased hangar size, rip surface sheep then :V

Removal of CV

 

add Graf Zeppelin or Kaga please, i am getting sick of a flatboard :V

2D map. So that the planes are where they appear to be, rather than either ahead or behind of their projected sealevel position depending on which way they flying.

Wrote it during alpha testing, re-wrote it during live and still sticking to it.

I won't settle for anything less than this.

I've played CVs briefly, so I'm not an expert. But here's what I think that need to change/be fixed :

>strafing mechanics

>dogfighting mechanics(fighters getting locked thingie... :()

>stacking multiple bomber squadrons(limit number of stacked squads to 2 max)this thing really breaks the game :sceptic:

>limit cv mm to 2 tier spread(I.e. a t8 cv will face t7-9 ships only)

 

These are all that comes in my mind atm :)

2/0/2 on Ranger and Lexington feels fine if they attack concentrate their attacks, this dealing considerable damage to enemies, but i agree that 0/1/3 should be replaced with something like 2/2/0 or 1/1/2.

Remove the current loadouts system altogether, I reckon wholesale changes to fix this.

In battle, have the ability to toggle squadron’s loadouts while squadrons are on the carrier e.g. fighters to carry extra ammo, to carry bombs or to carry a torpedo. In-port players would choose the aircraft types they want their aircraft carrier to carry. All squadrons numbers and planes per squadron the same for each tier but with a limit of torpedo capable planes.

This is the only way to truly balance carriers.

Captain’s tactics, abilities and upgrades would be the only difference. If this was so, imagine selecting your first wave of squadron’s loadouts, what would you do, strike, fighter focus or a mix,, first CV vs CV engagements would be fun. This way players can re-arm squadrons to suit the battle process.

Note, this is not a suggestion, just a fantasy, stickily an opinion!

lol everybody have an idea about strafing fighter rekt ship AA. the altitude idea is a nice, but it will make CV more complicated for yolo potato like me. the fighter carrying BOMB WILL BE NICE THOUGHT. so USN CV got more versatile, instead of doing 10K damage with only 1 DB. for "Fighter Dive Bonus" thing, we have strafing already bro. but, the real problem is the run missed and it keep shooting like an *beep

What i want to see is that Air Superiority loadout actually do something to the game instead of being a poor man shield to block some incoming strikes. AS is nowhere near effective enough to completely neutralize the other carrier even if he is dominating the game , at best he is negating 2-3 strike waves. The reserve vs battle time is also another problem , at tier 9+ running out of planes are extremely rare and the down time is so long that the spares are wasted without actually being put to use.

Say why not remove the squadron cap and replace it with a Flight control cap where you can put in the air anything you want with a hard cap limit and only need the squadron forming time ( you select its size ). Maybe a cap on torp and dive planes , but you get to choose how many do you want in the air or whether you want to throw everything you got in a last ditch attempt.

The current loadout isnt any fun , 422 is foolproof and 013 is do or die.

There also should be a Scout plane type that specialized in recon runs , freeing FT to do their job which is shooting down planes

no, DB can scout too! adding scouter will eat hangar  and didnt do any good

422 Hakuryu is OP though :V 4 planes become shield.... 2 TB crossdrop, 1 DB for burn..... 1 DB again for watching the sheep burn.

 

i am agree USN loadout is crap, but making USN CV more versatile mean they should nerf the squadron number into 5

It ain't hard to buff CV

 

 

Give Bogue non retarded loadouts 

Change Independence with Wright

Give Ranger 2/1/1 or 1/1/2

Give Lexington and Essex 2/2/1 :trollface:

Give Lexington Essex's loadout.

Give Essex 1/2/2 but nerf the DB damage

Give Midway 1/2/3.

If IJN get 12 TB, why don't USN get 12? They are supposed to be specialised at dealing damage or shooting down planes after all. If anything, just nerf the dive bomber. I'm definitely not happy with DB balancing. DB is skill less, TB takes way more skill. 

IJN CV 
Give Hiryu tier 7 planes

 

IJN CV are already overpowered as it. Buffing them would be stupid

Oh, make low tier CV grind longer as well. I will not tolerate idiots in my games. CV are reserved for good players, not some random noob.
