I copied wows from my laptop to PC but when I start the launcher it lets me download 3gb so I deleted the whole folder and copied again

but the same thing happens 3x already so, I decided to just install the 3gb. after I finished the 3gb. then a 10gb download starts again?

what the hell just happen? I mean. SHEEIT I was so careful copying the game to my PC but it didn't work!

any ideas m8?

What you should do:

1. Download WoWs installer on PC

2. Start wows launcher after installer installs it.

3. It starts to download (3gb)

4. Pause the download and close the Wows launcher

5. Copy game files to PC under where the Wows launcher is

the first 3gb is game engine

the 10gb is assets [ships etc]

it does work out to be about 13gb at the moment.

copy the files across,

then right click on WOWS.exe in program folder,

choose "send to > desktop [make shortcut]"

you don't need to install this game you just need the files to run it.

and a shortcut so you can do it from desktop.

you can actually run this game from a hard drive on any pc, with zero installation.

It cant be done on some net cafe which has access restriction or only hard drive on server station because it will cause CTD.or bluescreen.

Be mindful if you intend to copy it to a net cafe PC to play.

The game runs very poorly on anything that is not a HDD speed file transfer and is very glitchy on some PC that has low processing power or low virtual memory bank ( AKA free space on drive )

lel i am just use flashdisk to copy WoW to PC and never get problem. trying to play in ext hard drive is really silly idea :V

and yeah playing in net cafe is more fun with friend :V night feel like a day :V

@OP : its look like the WoW on your laptop got corrupted. just download the entire game if the solution didnt work :V

my another advice is.... NEVER doing PATCH on ext hard drive! its too long and there is a chance for  corrupt.

This line stands out to me. I mean to copy and paste 1 folder is hardly a big deal. For some reason was it more complicated than that?

Are you running any mods?

or did you copy an already updated game folder? because if its not updated it will start to download the update. i usually update the game on my desktop then copy the updated game to 2 other computers.

this will work too if you get some errors like missing files etc.
