As I type this, my team's BBs are horribly out of position, so horrible you wonder why are they even playing BBs in the first place.

As BB players would know, most BBs are slow, their turrets turn slowly, their guns fire slow.  They are easy to hit with shells and torps, and thus they need proper positioning.

So why in the world are so many BB players (even in high tier) playing BBs like they have cruiser speed to go wherever they want? As if they have all the time in the world to position their 21kt dreadnaught on a place in the may where they can actually do something?

And why are there so many BBs who either camp and end the game with full HP? or YOLO in early just to die?
They have heals for a reason!

TL/DR Played 3 Warspite games, did over 100k every game and topped team, but lost all, cos poor BB positioning on my allies part.

I would agree in what you said of driving like cruisers and battleships also give this feeling of protection with their armor and firepower, that's why some BB drivers like to rush in. BBs with full hp usually either they snipe from a distance or they're just behind the frontlines (they also push, but not as the leader but as a supporter)

Hello,

Your profile shows 3 battles with Warspite with 1 victory, 2 losses, with an average damage of 99'998 over 3 games, with a highest score of 104k and mathematically a lower score of around 95k.

Hmm If your playing the Warspite that means you have lots of Fuso's in your team which are usually captained by the worst players in this game.

The standard Fuso player is a camping sniper who often hides behind islands and never comes to the front until his entire team is dead due to reasons.

When ever I push in a BB I have to play around with torps coming at me from all directions, alot of BB players wont push due to the fact we get very little support from our team

I beg to differ. To me, BB is suppose to be the center of a task force. The cruisers and destroyers task will be to support them, which is why they were bestowed with a lot of consumables unavailable to BB, like Hydro, Radar and smoke. BB is suppose to lead the charge and soaking up damage, which is why they get the repair party consumable. The problem I see here is not BB is in or out of position, but is about the lack of team cohesiveness. Everybody compete to inflict as much damage and as many kill as possible. They simply mind their own business and be damn with the team. So you have BB who went unescorted and become easy prey for enemy cruisers and destroyers. If you want a well organize gameplay, then random battle is not for you. In random battle, you not just have to contend with the enemy, but with your teammates as well. Everybody want the kill and players sometimes resort to toxic gameplay. Don't be surprise if you see players who deliberately move into the path of your torpedo just so they can deny you the kill. but don't mistake this as a rant. I merely stating the fact here. You don't enter random battle and expect every player to be of a same mind as you are. That's rarely going to happen.

As I type this, I'm charging through the middle of epicenter and capturing in my Fuso, alone except for a single Cleveland tailing behind me, drawing fire from 3 ships, wrecking the enemy BB on the way, as well as killing a Molotov, surviving with Fireproof and winning...

Stop stereotyping Fusos! Some of us have guts too!

I seriously don't understand sniping battleships. They don't pose a threat to anyone due to accuracy at that range, and brawling is way more fun.

There are times when I find it is smarter to stay back. If my team is outnumbered badly I rather not go in as I'm a big floating target everyone wants to focus on. If I'm bottom tier against Amagis and bow tanking North Carolinas I won't push in as I can't win, and rely on taking out weaker targets instead. If it's torpedo alley I stay at maybe 10-15 km. But when I have maybe a cruiser following or a destroyer leading the way, or any such opportunity presents itself. it's showtime. Going aggressive at the enemy, citadels left and right, affecting half the map. Feels good.

So a few games later with teammates feeding the enemy and myself barely making 50% WR, I finally realise:

TODAY IS FRIDAY
FRIDAY BEFORE CHRISTMAS

Note to players: Please division up, at least you have 2 players you can trust on your side.

Took out my new Texas today, 82k damage and top XP in a tier 7 game.

Not good enough.

Followed up by an 80 and 90k game in the Bayern, also tier 7 games. Both Top 3 XP.

Not good enough.

Take out the Pensacola, do 17k damage and die.

Good enough for a win.

Be nice if WG can expand the size of the division to 5 Players at least.

I think it is a bit of a feedback loop, where bbs like to snipe from a range well outside of a cruisers range, so the cruisers ditch them. Then the bbs think well I don't have any support, so I will snipe from even further away.

Even if you get cruisers with the patience of a god willing to babysit for at least half the match (usually the earliest point any babies will start to move forwards) they still have to actually sit behind the bbs, as they will generally be focused over bbs st any range for the simple reasons that A) they are much easier to kill than another bb and B) they fire faster.

As a BB player I play more aggresively when divisioned with good players. In random battle I have to content myself with mid range sniping just behind the cap, up until a) my team outnumbered the enemy on that side and I am sure wouldn't be focus fired b) all of nearest team mates dead or fled, by which it's time for me to bug out as well.

Last night I mostly played Fuso and Dunkerque. Didn't lose any game. Also did some significant amount of damage. But then tried to play sims. Both loss. Then tried Belfast, win in 6 minutes before I even get to do anything. Weekends are strange. Always expect the unexpected.
