before update i get 25 - 30 fps on low setting when there are many things happening on screen even 50 fps on 'calm' sea, but now my laptop strugling to get 25 fps on very low settings, and could go below 20 fps when there are many things happening at once, weird things happened before update 0.5.15 tho, i tried to move my preferences.xml to another folder so the game makes a new one for me, and then i adjust my settings ingame to excatly like before but i get fps drop even though the settings are the same, when i move my old preferences.xml back again i get performances boost, now after update my fps drop again, i have updating my graphic cards driver but still no result

my laptop specification

Intel core i5-2450m

RAM 6Gb

VGA Nvidia Geforce 610m

If you haven't already I'd suggest turning off and settings that have to do with lighting and reflections as these were the latest changes introduced.

However it's more likely reason that you are having issues is simply that the hardware you are using is quite old. Especially with very low power cards such as x10 or x20 Nvidia GPUs. The modern equivalents these days are no better than the IGPU available on Intel CPUs.

are you playing on fullscreen or window fullscreen?, because from my another test the culprit for my low FPS is window fullscreen

Of course, in fullscreen. For now, i set my nvidia setting to force performance mode. Then the fps peak is about 30-32 fps. But still annoying

My frame rate has been halved. Used to get between 35-45 FPS. Now get between 10-25. My graphics settings have not changed.
