Yesterday,I was riding Leningrad.

And I was heading for A and oops

Some enemy destroyer smoked there and shooting

from inside smoke.

So I see the right and front.

And checked the distance and fire the deadly Torpedo.

Did you see my mistake?

Yes, I forgot to see left side and CA came toward to my torpedo.

I had no time to warn him.......

But fortunately, he barely beats my torpedos....

Of course he was furious....

and I said Sorry constantly until he accepted my apologies.

And here is the thing

NEVER FORGET TO WATCH ALL SIDES BEFORE YOU DROP YOUR TORPEDO!!!!!!!!!

Situational awareness is key.

And keep looking at your mini-map.

It doesn't just tell you where the enemy is........

I've had this happen to me on numerous occasions. Me being in the CA and having a DD or 2 launch torps without being mindful of team mates' location/direction. While some are apologetic of their action, there are some who would pin the blame on the team mate who got hit for cruising into their torps. These usually get an instant "Plays poorly" report from me.

Yep did that today. Just launch a set from my Leander when a Minekaze ducked my stern. Luckily for dopey here the torp hadn't traveled far enough to arm and just took off some of his antifoul.

Must look at mini map, must look at mini map, must look at mini map. Even when big fat juicy BB is beam on 4km away.
