I have always wondered why do players try to avoid players from the opposing team? It is as if they were haunting them or something? (This is not a rage or hate post, was just curious and open for discussion). I occasionally pop into tier 10 games to have some fun but in every game, it feels like only 2-3 players are doing what is supposed to be done. The rest are.....hanging out back from the spawn?
I understand that the rewards given for high tiers are not a pleasant sight, especially being in the losing team.

Personally I hate being hit by HEs, well....any BB captains would, or being chased by 3-4 enemy cruisers because I lost my escorts. This would be one insignificant reason for me to avoid battling with the enemy though.

What are your thoughts on this?

Do you have any suggestions or ideas to improve high tier gameplays? Feel free to comment.

P.S. How do I achieve maximum damage potential against German BBs? Especially that G.Kurfurst.....I read that instead of trying to Citadel - impossible to do so anyways, we instead aim for the bow and superstructure? Is it true? My shots either bounce/miss or does 1k dmg in total...:teethhappy:

Generally it's because of torps and fires. Most don't want to be that guy at the front and being focused on and taken out of the fight early on. There are even cases where some BB players think they should stay behind and fire at maximum range.

The G.Kurfurst has to show almost perfect broadside to fire all 4 turrets, so you will see them doing so more than the other two TX BBs. You should aim for the superstructure/belt when they do so.

I'm not a tier 10 player myself, but from reading forums it has something to do with credits?

Hmmm.....:sceptic:

It is kind of weird, since from my experience, contributing enough to the game as you would as usual in tier 7-8 games grants you rewards that are profitable in return. I wonder why these players do not comprehend that.....

Crap, I'm making this sound more like a rage post....

For some reason I don't mind being focused on as long as my teammates are around to support and participate in the action, thought that seems to be the case otherwise. I love close combat, seeing those secondaries spur into action. Maybe I'm just too immersed in the age of sail kind of combat.

Ill try that later in game if I encounter any G.Kurfurst, which is highly probable.

I'm not entirely sure, but considering the amount of tier IX and X battleships I've seen that show their broadsides and don't

care about being shelled consistently with AP I'd say the reason they stay back aren't credits...

As a BB player myself, I agree that it's far better to push with TX ships as a team rather than cower behind and taking pot shots. Unfortunately more often than not, when I start to push, everyone else will retreat :sceptic: That is the reality of high-tier games these days.

Which, on a side note, I'm happy that this Ranked season has mostly blessed me with teams that push cap-points together :izmena:

Hmm....maybe trying to snipe is the reason they stay back? or just letting the rest of the team to head to their demise...:teethhappy:

Couldn't agree more! These days I just follow the pack with the most ships in hope of fairing better.

I have never touched ranked battles. So I wouldnt voice out anything.

Well, in tier 10 ships if perform less than average despite with a win will cause losing credit, if OP might not familiar with the economy of tier 9,10.

Last time when the repair bill was related to the damage taken, passive game play is the mainstream in high tier matches. Now.. Well, I think it's better.

Personally I'm a BB player who loves to push up front and help out.

Ah, don't worry about me not being familiar with it, played quite a number of matches to get the feel. But I don't think it is that bad, even though I lose more than I earn. :teethhappy:

And yea, being in front as a BB feels great.

Just don't be that guy who trying to find a reason to hide at the back. Five destroyers on enemy team doesn't mean you sail back to the open water at the back of the spawn because you just asked to be killed faster that way

Like I mentioned, I love getting into close combat action. It feels amazing for some reason. :playing:

Cyclone, More Cyclone

Cyclone good

Cyclon is love, cyclone is life.

Cyclone is fun. I have to agree. What about implementing more types of disasters? :teethhappy:

I'm not sure how it would work but maybe something like:

-Heavy Storm? (Speed reduced, maneuverability reduced, DDs cant use torpedoes?

High tier MM atm:

  • Destroyers with low concealment are allergies to cap zone
  • Destroyers wih good guns/high concealment think they are cruisers
  • Cruisers think they are battleships
  • Battleships both think they are ground fortress and they are allergies to enemies

Doesnt it happen in most tier?

I can think of some reason (maybe i am one of them..not sure)

1. Environment - from low tier see others do the same thing so goes high tier also same attitude.

2. Afraid

3 Economy

4 Damage - I want to be the 1 who die last and do most damage.

5 Knowledge.

Well kinda rushing for battle so only this I can think of atm.

Haha, well sometimes this is true. Yesterday I was playing with friends, I was in a CA and I asked my friend where should I go, he said, "go with the battleships". So I looked at the battleships in the team...

10 seconds later, me: "but there's a problem, our battleships ain't going anywhere"....

However, considering the fact I only play T7 and T8 which is mid, mid-high tier, most of the time DDs actually contest the cap, CAs usually tries to support and 50% of the BBs actually lead the charge. Cause I never get free caps, always had to fight with 1/2 DDs under few of their CAs noses. Only class that does extra well or extra bad are the CVs.
