I came to this game cause i like the ships... thanks to an invite of a friend last year i'm so happy that i was able to play the game.. so without further a do.. Let the party started....

This ship is for me... submarines and hi-breeds.. i played silent hunter 3, 4... and battlestation pacific. i'm always amazed on how pretty battleship are... why submarines.. cause they're all stealth baby. and my god i played well on subs...specially those GATO class subs and U boat subs.. (THE GERMANs have Guided torpedoes) wish i can play the japanese version of the submarines..oh i miss those ships..BUT ITS OFFICIAL GUYS NO SUBMARINEs

Hi-breed in the late. war JAPAN has a few carriers...so they made Hybrid...battleship carrier hyuga for example is a hybrid hope to see it here.. WOWs at least PLEASE LET IT BE heard that i want hybrid its not a sub:(

moving to the topic

Battleship

the first thing that I recognized as a warship. Specifically those with triple gun mounts(three guns in one turret). The size of the hull and the guns were the features I liked most including the lighter guns mounted on them. My favorite battleship is the Montana and New Mexico because of the four triple gun turrets mounted on them. Used to be a fan of Yamato and Iowa xD

Submarines

They're sneaky. And because of them, I thought they're the only one armed with torpedoes among all warships.

Carriers

Specifically the modern Super Carriers(NIMITZ CLASS!!!). I never liked the old carriers except for the Essex and Midway class with the SCB-110 Angled Flight deck equipped

Voted for the battleships, cruisers, and torpedo ships.

Battleships for that sheer awesome with big guns and bigger ships. I think Bismarck is one of the... er... sexiest battleships I've seen, with that sharp bow and that well rounded stern. Hggg. Yamato is a close second, I tend to think of her as a chubby ship, with her wide draft. Hgggg. Kinda sad that they're already a thing of the past now because of resource consumption and the advent of guided missiles...

Cruisers are another for me since they're like battleships, only smaller. They've got a nice blend of mobility and firepower, which is good. Plus they're still around today in the form of missile cruisers.

With torpedo ships, I assumed that torpedo cruisers would be included too, of which I think only two were actually made. Well, torpedo cruisers because torpedoes. 40 torpedoes in one ship, 20 torpedoes per side, what's not to love about that? Hgggh. Too bad (or maybe it's good? I dunno) the two torpedo ships never got to show their true potentials.

I blame KanColle for making me obsessed with CLTs. Hggg.

I vote For Battleships, Cruisers and Carrier..

Battleship - Why those Big Guns when you fire the full salvo the sound man.. its awesome and i'm a fan of Yamato.. ( it's kinda pity she ended like that though she did her best to prove that She will not go down w/o a fight ).

Cruisers - Fast, Agile, Maneuverable and can somehow when in some cases can react more and participate further engagement due to its armaments.

and lastly Carriers - The One who change the naval battle in just one faithful day. I admire those famous Captain/Admirals who command their carrier groups with tenacity... specially when they on the hot seat where a decision can be a sign of Victory or Defeat.

Having worked in shipyards and around ships and boats for most of my life, I admire all vessels equally.

Except for timber boats, as they are the creation of the devil.

But my fav would have to be the Hunley. It was a sub built in the 1860s out of boilers that were riveted together. The propulsion was about 10 seated men turning a crankshaft that acted as the driveshaft for the propeller. They new nothing about oxygen usage and used candles for lighting. It was armed with a 60foot pole that had explosives attached to the end, the idea was to ram the enemy ship with it.It only saw action once and damaged an enemy square-rigger. Unfortunately, the crew did not survive the engagement.

I voted for Battleships and Carriers.

Battleship and carriers simply because they are amazing works of engineering and showcases how the culmination of decades of research and shipbuilding can achieve such great things. That is not to say other ships get marginalized, but I feel that battleships and carriers are the most prominent in this respect. In the aspect of warfare all ships have their own specific roles and thus no ship (I feel) is truly greater than other ships. The battleship was mighty, but even it needed AA support from destroyers/cruisers, destroyers to hunt those pesky subs down and air cover provided by carriers. The carrier in turn requires escorts to keep it safe during sorties - provided by other ships. You could say that I like battleships and carriers for their awesomeness factor + immense engineering in this respect. It is also due to this that I have much appreciation for the CV Taihou due to it's armored deck and what I feel is a major step forward in Japanese Carrier design.

However, all in all I must say that my favorite would be the rowboat

CL's/CA's =jack of all trades, master of none

SS =ninja sneaky things

why these three? because torps....nothing more nothing less...(IJN preferred)

Do you mean in the real world? If it is, then BBs are useless and CVs are the best.

They are kind of useless near the end of the war because of superior ASW equipment. The USA's sonar could detect a sub way before the sub have time to launch their torps.

Not sure about the technology now though, with all the 'stealth' and radar/sonar bouncing mechanism going on.

USN's Unrestricted submarine warfare still was useful tho. (lol Shinano)

now, subs were now much like your ninja nuclear deterrence platform

Battleship:Because they are looks awesome  with their big size and  with their big gun and turrets .

Cruiser:Because they are very versatile and mainly because of Takao <3

Carrier ship:mainly  because of  CVN-6, USS Enterprise( a Yorktown class carrier ship ).She is the most decorated ship of USN during WWII and participated in more major actions of the war against Japan than any other US ship.

That's because Japan's radar and sonar are subpar compared to the USN's radar and sonars. It's because of the radars that cost them Midway. Not knowing that the enemy dive bombers are right above you because you have little to no radar is pretty dumb.

silly that they did not install Type 21 radars on all carriers too.

which actually saved the Shoukaku from a terrifying blast from the battle before Midway xD

Things could change if Zuikaku ever went to Midway. 5 CVs versus the USN's 3. Too bad they didn't want to mix Shoukaku's planes with Zuikaku's because "muh plane is assigned to this CV".

The radar would actually be the saving factor. not just the numbers

If Arashi would still blow the carrier's hiding place, would be the same actually(without the radar)

going back to the Radar, it would work again like

Zuikaku: oh crap US plaens!!!

Kaga: clear the flight decks with bombs

Akagi: get the avfu off the tanks

Soryuu: launch fighters >:E
