Tricking out your CA with AA Level II consumables and getting into the fight with no CV

Hi All,

Just wondered if anyone else was super frustrated at working hard to get the Level II consumables...fitting out your ship with AA fire II..Level II fighter and ...no CV's..

 

Is there a way to add the consumables after you know who is going to be in the fight??

I don't care if I use Defensive AA II and no CV

Nope. If you want to have CV in the game to benefit your AA buffed ship, rig the game by divisioning with a CV

I've taken to doing that with my Atlanta lately. CVs avoid you like the black death anyway and it makes you into an awesome DD killer.

Worse is rolling out in your cruiser to get the "shoot down x planes while in a cruiser" mission, and no carriers, no matter what tier you try.  Get in your destroyer or battleship - 2 carriers a side....  Has been happening to me for days now.
