Soon I am getting last point to unlock one of the skills in fourth row of the Skill tree so far my skills are like this

 

1.Expert Loader (I know I was a Noob back than or else I'd get Situational Awareness.. But by defult with update I'll get it.) =)

2.Expert Marskman

3.SuperIntendent 

 

So I was thinking which skill to unlock on fourth row  Any suggestions? =)

AFT to be an AA bubble as you tier up.

DE if you want to be a bit better at setting fires.

 

If you ask me, you should play to the USN CA strongpoint and get AFT and combine it with the AA range upgrade to harass enemy carriers.

I wish I went for Demo Expert instead of AFT. AFT is good if you want to escort friends all the time but there isn't much cv players so I just don't see it as useful right now. DE can make ur HE much better. especially on DM because of her ROF. DON'T GET MANUAL AA you don't have enough 5 inch to make that super effective. It is better on BB, unless you plan on using +25% AA damage upgrade then it will be worth it

well it  increase the chance of fire so meh

from what i heard/observed

 

USN ap is good but isn't effective in close range combat due to the high arching 

so people take DE so they can camp around island using their high arc to hit targets

welp HE is good cuz fire

Well getting DE makes  any Difference? :o I though USN ships had low chance to cause fire. =)

 

It's true they have low chance of fire. That's why you bump it up with DE. It might not be that noticeable, but still useful most of the time. While with AFT, you will rarely have an opportunity to make use of it, unless you are in division.

 

Also DE is the most effective in the Cleveland, and ultimately, the Des Moines. With DE plus both india x-ray and victor lima flags, you can get the fire chance to as high as 19%, on par with Zao's default fire chance. Now imagine your ship firing 9 of those shells every 6 seconds. Behold, the ultimate flamethrower. :trollface:

There is hardly any meaningful variation in CA captain build. Regardless of nations. You need DE almost in every cruiser. AFT is more useful in BB and DD.

 

AFT is good for IJN BB, Manual AA is good for USN because they have those 5 inch guns

that is why I want free skill reset in 0.5.9 I took AFT on Baltimore and now the captain is on Des Moines and planes don't even come near me, if there are any cv even

I wouldn't waste 4 points on that useless skill. USN BB secondaries are not that bad either. + with BFT+AFT+Fighter, USN BBs at high tier reach almost 100 AA. You don't need anymore. BB AA is much superior than equal tiered CA. CAs are much easier target once CV driver knows that DF is in cool down. ++++ AFT gives benefit regardless of whether CV is present or not, MAA is useful only if there is a CV.

Well, I thought CVs dont go near DM anyway. Taking AFT wont do much more than it already does. Also, it will be very rare that people will give DM a broadside without a reason, you still rely on HE to kill BB, DD and CV (no occasional unicum reference plz :P ) So DE is still beneficial on DM. So I think Asakura is right about DE on DM as well.

 

Skill variations are possible, but shouldn't I build for the usual case?

USN AP isnt effective in close range ?

what tier do you play ?

T6-T10 USN AP is very effective in close range..

Eurobeat even said this AP Shell = American Piercing Shell

i admit in long range USN AP isn't effective but when in Close range you can get citadel score to enemy CA even got devastating strike to heavy broadside CA/CL...

i admit in long range USN AP isn't effective but when in Close range you can get citadel score to enemy CA even got devastating strike to heavy broadside CA/CL...

 

USN AP at close range is godlike starting from Phoenix. It just keeps better. Even Atlanta at close range wrecks broadsiding scrubs.

for pepsi i take DE

 

I thought Cheatland already has enuf aa firepower.

Why do you guys love the Cleveland sooo much? I personally can't stand her firing arc. Too much time for the enemy to initiate WASD hax scripts :(

i love cleve because i know how to aim with her, and know well her weakness....

i know her turret traverse is slow and shell velocity is terrible so slow, but if you know how to aim with her its fun ship :)

You're not the only one, I also don't like the cleveland... I played the Yorck pre-buff and yet I still enjoy sailing her much more than the clevy... :sceptic:

because its cheatland its very easy set fire, even at lower % i set fire more often than IJN

 

so put the 4 points into AFT and wreck planes
