Pinkies in team lists

Hi all.

I have noticed that there are never pink names in the enemy team list. In my last match there were 4 pinkies on my team (including me - team kill via torp) and none displayed on the other side.

I did ask in game chat but no real reply.

I was wondering if it a display error or it is the way that teams are made as a penalty only on one side of the battle

(not really fair to the non pinkies)

Thanks

.

Intentional.

Players need only to be wary of teamkillers on their side of the team. Having pink nameplates appear on both your and the enemy's team would make who to shoot at very confusing.

You don't really need to be aware of pinks in the enemy list unless they start stealing your kills. Even then they are helping your side.

A lot of pinks are unintentional and some will explain at the start of the battle why they were 'pinked'.....but you never know if they're just foxing by saying that.

I'd like to see another colour such as turquoise or bright orange to indicate bad drivers; so my team knows to keep clear when I'm sailing in crazy circles.

Its intentional as stated by other posters. There may be pink players in the opfor but you won't be aware of them nor will they be aware of those in your team.

Stop looking down on "Pink"s. It's a nice color and they are not always bad players. I have seen "Pinks" carried the game multiple time. At lower tier, pink is more common occurrence since even co-op will give you pink status.

Please if you torp a friendly ship acknowledge your mistake in chat. Everybody makes mistakes but I hate the players who nothing afterwards.

Some pink players are innocent. They turn pink because they launch their torps at an angle where they predict the family ship will not be hit. However, there are one or two ships that sail in the binocular mode and make a wild 180 degree turn and got hit.

We have been through all this before on old threads;

Sorry but I don't agree with you. There are no innocents in this case! This means that the individual firing the torpedos is launching from depth, ie BEHIND your team mates, when they (the one's that are hit by friendly fire) are inside of the firers  Left / Right safety arc.(Between 10 and 2 'o'clock).  IOT negate the individual from turning 'PINK', then they shouldn't launch torpedo's from behind, unless friendlies are well outside of this 10 / 2 safety zone ( this would omitt the 'one or two ships that sail in the binocular mode and make a wild 180 degree turn') OR the only players out in front ARE the red team. Full-stop, end of story.

There is no need for friendly fire, unless you want to turn 'PINK' and earn yourself black mark and a ban.

Been reading some of your posts in the forum, you are always the quickest one to decide:

"This thread is useless"

"Nothing to read here"

"Full stop, end of story, I am the only right guy"

We are just discussing stuffs here man. No need to be rough.

don´t agree - had myself the situation that on big race we were 4 vs 4 DDs around G4 knife-fighting, in such situation sit-awareness is every captains top responsibility. If then an idiot curves around the corner into Your torps which where ment for the enemy DD 400 m behind that noob who caught them its Your fault ???

Really? I thought I was slow on the uptake of a response to a posted thread and I wasn't at all being rough in comment. But I think you've made a mountain out of the proverbial mole hill with your post, but since you want to try and bash, give it your best shot in your rebuttal!

I'm going to call you out on this. I have never stated to words of that exact effect;

a.    "This thread is useless", and

b.    " I am the only right guy".

PROVE me wrong then?

My reference is all posted made by SabotON in "General Discussions", in this forum.

As for;

a.   "Nothing to read here".

This is line with "Built in Aim-Assist 0.5.8" in General Discussions, as the same ground has been covered, by too and fro, from posters repetitively. The thread is not generating, nor gain signification traction of any new relevance that ( And I am solely speaking about forum readers / posters) players / testers / Mods / WG staff aren't aware of.

Now if you think that is rough in comment, as really it's not - you could always wear a tin foil helmet or grab a cup of concrete and harden up.

I'm

" just discussing stuffs here man". :fishpalm:

Have a good day.

Fair enough with your opinion.

I concur with this statement;

a.  " in such situation sit-awareness is every captains top responsibility"

however, in answer to the second part;

a.  " If then an idiot curves around the corner into your torps which where meant for the enemy DD 400 m behind that noob who caught them its Your fault ???".

would it not be prudent to employ gunfire when the risk and cause is "Blue on Blue" friendly fire when you know - being situational aware of 4 x friendlies in close proximity as your case states?

There are other options instead of using torpedo's from depth.

Fully agree, but 800m launch distance isn´t really depth launching is it? And with Wakatake guns U dont do to much against a Wickes or Minekaze in that surrounding....

Unfortunately dont have the replay, at the time given there were some 36 fishes in the water, whole G3 & G4 eal-infested :) ...

As I have been victim to friendly fire often enough myself, i quite share Ur point of view a lot, only point is - getting pink isnt necessarily always the fault of the player - hence players please should stop bashing em.
