One thing I have been thinking of is the crew. Which crew members will be available or would you like to see?



 



Captain - obviously



Navigator - quite a critical position.



Helmsman - need a driver right? Or would this just be a sub-function attached to the Navigator?



MEO or a Chief Artificer ( The 'Tiff ) - Marine Engineers are a must.



WEEO or a Deputy WEEO - Need someone in charge of Weapons and fire control.



RO - Radio Operator or Communicator. Different to radar operators or plotters...who do radar stuff.



Bo'suns - Knuckle-dragging deckhands :hiding:



 



The list could go on.

why do it by positions, would probably work better by departments

 

Executive - ship handling

Gunnery - well, guns

Engineering - making the ship go, fixing the ship

Supply - feeding the ship, tends to help making the ship go

aviation - those birdy types down the back end that do bugger all

Fire crew, don't forget them. They're your WoT's extinguisher  ;)

Don't forget who fights fire and prevent explosion on your powder room.

 

That should come under a damage control (DC) skill. Would take effect for fire or flood.

 

I prefer the departmental idea mentioned above but would add a bunch of researchable skills.
