Once you get used to the odd shell arc, this thing is a beast. It is at it's best late battle, within 10km of anything MM will allow it to see.

Early stage it has good gun range to HE bomb BBs and if you can get close/lucky*RNG enough, it shreds DDs.

It really shines late battle, once the threats have diminished. Simply point front towards enemy and charge. With 6 forward facing barrels flinging AP, it citadels any Cruiser  (IJN Cruisers wanting to launch torps. Even if they do launch, it has the agility to dodge.) dumb enough to show it's side, and does good damage to the BBs I've rushed.

Really enjoying this historical boat, and highly recommend it.

Now if WG would only release a premium USS Laffey.

indeed indy is beast at late game

My only struggle is fighting BB and foward facing ship with he...

The radar is very situational, i rarely use it

Yet, i rarely got citadel... Maybe i'm not good enough since i only play ijn cruiser

Any tips for enemy running away while angling... Once i got 5 citadels

Only once...

If they're running away and dodging, I'll either reposition to hit another target or chase them if they're the only reasonable option. The shell arc makes it problematic to reliably hit them.

If they run away from a cap point, mission accomplished in my book.
