 1. USS Sims and IJN Yubari may soon hit the store, not so the Gremyashchy. The designers are unsure whether to release the Gremyashchy because of markedly different performance of this ship on different servers (some people actually manage to suck in it). Perhaps this ship will not be sold continuously, but be made available during a major seasonal or thematic event.

Good

I shall salute for all player who manage to going to buy Sims and Yubari in future :honoring:

If you like US DD's then chances are you'll like the Sims - it's a really fun ship.  Would recommend, but only for US DD specialists.

You need more than "specialists" to enjoy Sims :D:D:D

  • Less guns compare to Mahan
  • Super bad Torpedoes 9.2km = 4000 per hit 5.5km = u are dead
  • Not much HP to brag about

So what good about Sims (in my opinion) ? Size/Speed, by default this ship can go 39knt with rudder shift like drift car with small size and fast acceleration with expert DDs maneuver skills (WASD Hack) you gonna annoy the crap out of enemy and dominate any DDs you want.

And trust me i know what im talking about Sims is not good as other Tier 7 DDs and i wont recommend this to anyone (go for Blys or Lo Yang) except an expert DDs player.

I think it's better than the Mahan and on par with the Lo Yang despite being a tier lower.

Lo Yang has the same guns with the same fire rate, but the Sims has better range by 1.3 kms (a fair bit really). Torps are on par imo, they are in very much the same mould, one option that does low damage at longer range, and another option that does higher damage at short range with a faster speed. The damage and speed of the torps are a fair bit worse on the Sims, but the Sims has 72 and 87 sec reloads, vs 109 and 122 sec reloads - that makes the Sims torps great for area denial spam. The maneuverability is similar, although slightly better on the Sims, the AA is a little better on the Lo Yang, but terrible on both really, although they both get defensive fire. The health is a little more on the Lo Yang. The main difference is the concealment, being at tier 8 the Lo Yang can get the concealment module, making for a detection range with camo of 6.4kms, while the Sims detection range with camo is 7.3kms.

All in all, if you moved the Lo Yang to tier 7 it would be pretty much on par with the Sims. The Sims is also better than the Mahan, with lower detectability, much better fire rate and range, much faster, albeit with worse torpedoes. It also has the bonus of being a premium with everything that goes with that.

The Sims is the best tier 7 cap circle bully, and that wins games.  When I have a good game in the Sims, it always gives amazing xp. A good example:

Lo Yang kinda special with it Hydro stuff so when you compare with Sims Lo Yang will look kinda bad being high tier, but it easier to play by the lower concealment and better torpedoes speed and damage (49knt torpedoes is just too funny Kiev can just race with that lol)

I do agree that i kinda love Sims but no way i will recommend this ship is not a user friendly in my opinion :D:D:D

NO! I want to be special! I don't want to see a bunch of Gremyashchies running around on the battlefield! The ship is the symbol of Beta Tester and let it be! Those peasants do not deserve Grem-tan!

Depends how you think.

Mahan is a bit more offensive.

Sims is good in maneuvering and mobility.

Damn, how can people suck at the Gremyshhhky (i know spelling).

Wonder the justification then on the Sims and Yubari, as im sure people are using those as OP vessels!

Actually looking foward to the Yubari being on sale, with all the newbies who are sure to be complaining the Devs may actually buff her back to her former glory as a AA monster

Looking back I regret not getting the Gremyashchy back in CBT since I really started to enjoy the USSR DDs.

Want to trade: Yuubari for Gremyashchy
